People have always been trying to set up long term chat rooms for GS. The problem is that Ratolin, Maetriks, and others will eventually find out about them and join them. And then everyone else leaves.

It'd be nice if lnet was accessible outside the game, though. Anyone know how it's set up and if that's possible?

The "Solhaven" chat has been going strong for like at least 7 years. Though it's not at all inclusive, and people like Demeyse/Baelrog etc are the reason. A lot of GMs tend to come in there and don't want to be bothered with general rabble rabble.

You know, I can change the setting on the AIM Blast group so that all invites have to come from me...that would keep certain people out.

edit: Actually, I did just change the group a little. It's invite only but all invitees need to be approved before acceptance.
