As long as everyone still has to go through security checpoints immediately before boarding the plane I don't know that I have a problem with it.

I suppose if everyone has to go through security and they have a seperate line for non-ticketed people then it's ok. I would be pissed off though if my wait was even longer because of non-ticketed people.

I heard on the radio this morning, that in the UK folks are asked to be at the airport FIVE HOURS before boarding.

Personally, I've never cared about waiting in the airport, I only stress if I"m LATE to the airport... I'd rather wait an hour, even 3 hours more, if it means I'm not gonna have to beat ass on some guy that tries to light his shoe on fire next to me.
