I am currently hiring some slaves for next year and I am getting a lot of interest from Europe, which isn't surprising. However, the majority of the European people submit pictures of themselves with their resumes and cover letters. Is that the norm over there?
Just curious.

Yeah thats pretty normal for a slave resume.
Gotta make sure they have both eyes and good teeth. Those Europeans can be tricky like that.
And yes, it's customary in Europe.

You're "hiring" slaves? I think you're missing the concept.

Well, they aren't real slaves, but I pay them poorly, make them live in tents, and work 90 hour weeks. So calling them employees would be a stretch.

Just remember to confiscate their passports upon arrival so they can't leave when you have to beat them. Also, don't forget to garnish their wages for housing, food and any transportation costs you incur bringing them into the country.

I dunno if submitting head shots is common in Europe, but a quick Google search about submitting resumes in the US will tell you submitting any pictures that the employer doesn't specifically request is discouraged and considered weird and/or unprofessional by most American employers.
Personally, I'd find it off-putting. Pictures of relevant work/portfolio can be included separately and labeled such, and pictures of the applicant themself is really only necessary for acting/model work.

I've never seen a resume with a photograph attached, but I'll tell you one thing: you're not getting hired at my office without resume sleeves and poster boards.

Well duh. That's just common sense.

It is inappropriate in the US. I will see you dressed at your best and in person when I interview you for the position.

Service industry sometimes asks for pics. Bars and whatnot.

Internationaly sent resumes that I have seen always include a picture. Including UK to US. Mainland Euro to US. Africa to US. Those are the ones I know about.

if they come from the UK, you have to see their teeth PRIOR to hire. Those dental premiums are high enough...
