Looking for a script that will LOOK at my maul before I go out on a hunt with bigshot and cast 411 on it if there is no scintillating light coming from it.

I've tried and failed miserably as scripting is just not my thing (yet!)

Thank you in advance with any helpful tips and/or infomation!

Why not a script that casts 417 then 411 at it, so it's fresh every hunt.

I'm not sure if this is still the case, but I had a knife a long long time ago that was e-bladed and I wasn't high enough level to hold it. The person 417'd it few times to bring it down to a +10. Once the e-blade wore off, it was a -10 weapon.

Maybe it was a glitch, maybe it was fixed. Either way it kinda sucked.

Whenever I want to run afk with e-blade, I just turn on part of a SF script I keep running in the background (mostly because I'm still learning some ruby stuff and have a tendency to do quick fixes in SF).

All it really does is match "You thrust" and "has no effect", looks at my lance, and then matches either "Scintillating" or "nothing unusual" and goes from there. It adds a bit of screen scroll but you can just squelch that out. I have a couple half-ok ruby scripts but nothing that works 100%. The SF one was working just fine so I stopped banging my head on it.

When I go warcamping, I 417 then 411 my weapon before each hunt. It was a player forged steel weapon... so far, no "penalty" to it. 417 strips the e-blade completely in 1 cast, no matter what the remaining duration is on it.

Elemental Dispel used to be able to permanently reduce the enchant on a weapon. It can no longer do that.

In that case, Gib's is a much better solution.
