While I was getting a sheath worked on by him he said that lances fit in them. I haven't sat down and stuffed any massive weapons in mine, but apparently even the off the shelf ones are just as deep (just not as many choices on wearing).

You're correct you can't put a large weapon in the sheath unless it's on your back or shoulder. The other spots allow the sheath only hold a small blade.

As if the merchant quote above isn't enough, i will confirm it can fit any weapon, at least in the back/shoulder slot. I don't have a fully unlocked to check the smaller locations.

It fit my unlightened 15 lbs lance just fine.

I think that may just be a confusing line in his GM notes. Auchand was saying in that chat that he says it is allowed but then it isn't. I'm pretty sure he just meant to keep the 6 character slots open for the morphing descriptor (wrist, thigh, back, etc) and that is the adjective to not change. It wasn't in reference to 'rotting', 'decaying', etc.
