Ok, best place I could find to ask this.

A majority of the posts (folders) have blue envelopes, some are gold. The difference?

Some of them mean they are *hot* topic I believe. Which means they are over a specific number of replies.

It also depends on your theme.

On XP Silver, the gold envelope means there are over 40 replies, blue means there are new posts in that thread, and transparent blue means there are no new posts in that thread.
