As a player of an ambushing rogue... Nodyre is a dumbass if he believes that people should look at every single critter prior to attacking them... especially in a place like Stronghold.

It's the cost of ambushing.

Bob, that guy casted Torment. It's a round-based attack.

And he couldn't of just left the area, or, the spell would of attacked him, having not found a target.

That was the whole "Glares evilly" bit.

Nodyre must be slow in the head or something. If someone won't take the 0 amount of effort to keep a disk floating around, I'm not going to waste 5 keystrokes in a time critical hunting ground to make sure I'm not blowing apart a critter he's killing too slowly.

I don't understand the mentality behind it at all. If they're trying to roleplay the uber-stealthy never-seen ninja type, then don't say a peep when someone kills something in front of you and stalk away!

Yes, but he also continued to kill the giant.
---
Sorry Bob, But he didnt, There's no way of Stoping Torment untill eather the Caster or the Critter is Dead. So honestly there was nothing he could do but stand there and say sorry. By the way he was acting, I think he would have stoped it if he could. But you cant. And i'v left Areas with torment going and forgot and just ringed back to the park. And when it tryed to hit, The Critter ended up having almost a 500 Td , needless to say I died.

As for Nodyre, Yeah he's just a fucking asshole.

Isn't it a general understanding among all ambushers that if you're hunting alone... it's a good idea to have a disk with you so that others have an indication that you may be in the room, but hiding?

.

I'd just shrug it off with Nodyre, but if the incident keeps repeating itself (ie, in other rooms after you move on), he is just not getting it, especially considering how dangerous the stronghold can be.

I'd expect him to try to attack you (or someone) first, and then feel free to kill him and leave him there without keep.

Falgrin doesn't normally hunt with a disk as a marker either... but I the player realize that he will lose a critter or three because of it.

Personally, I would have continued to 'poach' his critters until he bought a clue.

No grown man should ever say Whoopsie.

Ever.

Neither should they giggle.

Disturbing.

At least when your hunting without a disk you realize your taking a chance of losing a critter or two. Nodyre's snob attitude just makes you wonder, why even bother reasoning with him if he's going to be an ass.

how exactly does the exp thing work when you yourself actually kill a critter or if your friend does it after you've hit it?

I was under the impression that if I'm hunting with a friend and I smack the thing a couple of times...but my friend kills it...I still learn. So...aside from the loot aspect of someone else coming in and accidently killing something you've already whacked a few times...whats the big friggin deal? You still get the learning...don't you?

And if that's the case...when I accidently kill a critter that someone has been ambushing, I always leave the loot. peace offering and such.

You only get a certain percentage of the overall experience if you're group hunting.
