Did anyone get this? I completely forgot it came out on 11/02/10.

I'll probably wait until it is on sale for Black Friday/Christmas, but I really would like it.

If anyone has it, can you let me know how it is? It got really good reviews.

I see this thread got a lot of interest.

Anyway, I got this today. Just as I had indicated, I waited until Black Friday and got it on sale. I bought the Limited Edition package, which included the golden classic controller. Original price was $69.99, but I got it for $49.99. Or, you could have just bought the game for $34.99. Quite a sale, considering it just came out.

I haven't played it yet -- but it looks like no one else here has either.

I beat it far too quickly for my liking, and the multiplayer is flat out boring now. The Goldeneye archetype was great for the N64, but with the Battlefields and Call of Duties out there, there's not much point in playing it.

Son of a bitch. Sounds like I was better off buying Starcraft II, then.

So the multiplayer is not fun at all? What's so bad about it?

Unfortunately, I only have a Wii, so I can't play any of those other games.

It's boring when compared to the more modern (no pun intended) shooters. There's little development within the game, you never really have a chance to improve within the confines of the system, and the maps leave a decent bit to be desired.

It's set in about the same scale as the original Halo, and I'm not sure anyone would bother playing that if they had a more recent alternative to play.

So...

-minimalist weapon selection with little options creating
-little comfort level to build from, or at the very least play in your way
-which leaves you bored when you find your k:d ratio at 27:1 just because everyone else sucks with the sniper rifle, and can't spawn close enough to even FIND you before they're dead.

It's Goldeneye. You're playing it because ITS FUCKING GOLDENEYE!!!! Do you remember how many hours you'd play that game, how many times you and your friends would stay over at someone's house and be up all night playing that game on N64? That's why you get this and that's why you play it.

Errr, if you're 27:1 with a sniper rifle, you're playing with tards. I'd find you and kill you before you even kill me.

There's lots of guns, but it takes a long ass time to unlock them - levelling is pretty slow in Goldeneye, and some of the best guns are around level 20ish. I'm level 15 right now myself.

And the maps aren't bad, but they are smaller than CoD, etc. I like them better, tbh, cause you can't just camp, no matter what that tard Mike says. In MW, all people do is fucking find a perch, put claymores behind them, and then wait for people to run by. Super boring.

Best thing about the old goldeneye, unlocking the short chick in the yellow jump suit. Finding a corner in paintball mode, spraying the corner and hiding in it. People would run by you, step out, head shot, laugh, repeat.

I bought it because I remember, but the past stays in the past sometimes. The game isn't up to the recent standard, and will rely entirely on novelty play.

How do you guys play it, curiously? Do you use the Wii remote? Or do you use the classic controller (like the gold one I received).

Haven't played it yet. My wii is under the tree currently.

Haha, you bastard. You probably got a sweet one then, right? With a game included AND the motion plus AND probably a different color?

Hell, I even saw one deal that had TWO games included, it was red, AND you got a $50 gift card. That was on Black Friday, though.

When I bought mine, it was $250 and I got diddly squat with it except for Wii Sports.

Yup got the red bugger. It's really for the kids but let's be honest I'm going to be playing it a lot too.

-TheE-Can't you just put in the Mishkin code to unlock everything?

Does anyone have this that plays online? I'd love to play someone on the PC and dominate them (well, perhaps)!

My friend has it, but since the WoW xpac dropped, I haven't played it once, in like a month and a half. I stopped around level 15 last I checked.
