Delaroz posted a nice little story about how he met his wife, and it prompted me post this topic. So how did you meet your wife, husband, fiance, girlfriend or boyfriend?
I was a sale rep and had to make a presentation, my future husband was present in the room. For me it was an instant attraction. We started dating and after about 9.5 years - we got married. The guys at his employer still tease me that it took me a long time to finally close the deal.

I was in lunch with a bunch of friends, and this girl I didnt know came over and asked one of my friends out for one of her friends, you know, typical story. Anyway, she was completely rude and loud.
A year later I started asking her out. At least once a day. She turned me down every time.
I wrote her a 9 page love letter. She called me a dick.
About 6 months after that she asked me out.
About 7 years later, she has my baby.
A guy friend that I've known for five years was feeling really depressed and down in general, so a friend and I drove four hours to Dover, DE to visit him on the Air Force Base that he's stationed at. We met him and his suitemate, Drew, at the gatehouse so they could sign us on base, and then went back to their room to hang out. I thought Drew was really cute, but he thought I was off-limits because Alan (my friend) had thought there was potential for us. Because of that, Drew was hitting on my friend (Erica).
So... I waited until the two guys were out of the room, and I asked Erica what she thought of Drew, and she said she wasn't particularly interested. I told her that I thought Drew was cute and that I was going to try to see what he thought of me... so once Alan came back, I told him to set Drew straight about his opinion of me being off-limits and things progressed from there.
We've been dating a little over two months, and Drew still finds it funny that I basically told Erica and Alan off because I was interested in him, heh. :D

My wife and I met the first period of our first day of high school. We was a total preppy girl on the varsity soccer team and was way too cool for me. We were casual friends until our junior year when she and one of my best friends went to prom together. She totally dug him and he was into someone else. So she always came to me for advice, etc. I moved in for the kill and the rest is history.

Kylie and I met while working together to usurp and overthrow a leadership.
Once finished, we took command, fell in love, and ruled all. For a couple weeks.

My boyfriend and I actually met at a mutual friend's party that we went to about 6 years ago. I didn't think much of our encounter, until I bumped into him again a few months after that at a coffee shop, where he sat down with my friends and I and chit-chatted. We exchanged screen names and talked like maybe once a month over the next two years until I randomly bumped into him in a club. We had both recently came out of a bad relationship, so we kinda hung out over the next few weeks and eventually started dating.
Been together for 4 years now. ;) Kinda makes me believe in fate now that I look back at it.
My grandmother always said I'd meet my wife at church, and I did. Later I found out that her family and my grandparents were very close, and in fact, my grandmother signed the adoption reference for my wife's parents right after she was born.
I still think it was a conspiracy; but after 11 years and a beautiful 2 year old son I am truly thankful for it.

James and I met in Gemstone actually, our characters were friends with each other and eventually we exchanged SN's and started talking about our every day lives, goals etc. We met and talked on the phone a great deal and almost 2 years later we are very much in love. Happiest I've ever been. :)

In my organizational behavior class during one of the beginning of the year ice breaker activities. A little over two months later, we're finally going on our third date soon. Conflicting schedules suck.

If you are going out for the THIRD time... it might be time for candles.

She kept stealing my Destro to play "house" with that bitch Barbie.
After a few kidnappings, Destro was released missing some limbs.

Met her first, really met her, in the lounge of the Science Fiction/Fantasy dorm at college. Everyone in the room was watching her and I was thinking how beautiful she was. I got bold... and things progressed.

The guy I'm with now, we met a few years back in Gemstone. I was with someone else at the time, and my father was terminally ill, so we lost touch..it just wasn't the right time.
Oddly enough, this past June, after meeting someone else at Simucon, Steven and I got back in touch, and the rest is history.
He's amazing. I'm not quite sure why I waited so long.

I met my guy online, strangely. But we were only fairly distant friends until we started spending time together.
The rest is history in the making, I guess.

Online years ago in an AOL chat room for Virginians (No, not Virgins, Virginians). We chatted a bit but didn't meet until the chat room got together at a party in Fredericksburg. We hung out a bit - both dating other people.
I asked her out while she was dating this other guy. I couldn't stand him. He had no sense of humor.
Two years after we started dating we went to a Dave Matthews concert and she whispered "Oh my god, that's Brett sitting next to us (her ex, who she was dating when I asked her out)". I didn't believe her.
The guy's girlfriend stood up, and since I was near the end of the row of seats, I got up as well, thinking she was going to the bathroom or getting something to eat.
She replied "Oh, no, I'm just stretching. Thanks though". Her boyfriend said "Yeah, next time get up a little faster" and then did a chortle laugh.
I turned to my girl and told her that I was wrong, that was her ex and his bad sense of humor.
The Internet.
Just another way for guys to meet chicks. I  it!
