I'm the new aunt of a beautiful 7 pound 3 ounce baby, Amber Claudine.:)

She was born at 10:46 tonight, and I got to see the whole thing..it was just incredible.:beams:

Just thought I'd share.

My sister went natural until the very last half hour, where she took a half dose of pain stuff, but she was soooo good. I just left about a half hour ago, and she was just about asleep.

The baby is the cutest thing..I'll have to post pictures when I get one.

Wow how long was she in labor for?! I too, asked to go natural "for as long as I can hold out." I didn't make it up to the last hour, though! Your sister sounds like a real trooper!!

And yes, post a few pics when you can :)

No pain medication??!? If I ever have kids I am going to ask to be knocked out about a week beforehand and woken up when the baby is about 6 months old.

Congratulations on your niece. Being an aunt is great. Until they get old enough to want your stuff.

Congrats on being an Auntie!

How long was she in labor? She is a trooper for not taking anything. I started with the mask of giggle gas, moved on to demerol, then finally a epideral. I was in labor for near abouts two days though. Hard labor for 14 hours. I wanted drugs!

edited to change 14 days to 14 hours..sheesh...

She started labor at about 4:30, she had the baby at 10:30. She was in the water for most of the labor. She was great though. It was funny, because just about a half hour before she had the baby we were joking that she was going to last to her due date(which is today), but she didn't wait that long.

'Congratulations, I became a great aunt last month and babies in the family are so wonderful. You get all the cuddles and great little baby smell, without having to stay up all night! My neice named her Lia Faye, Faye is my middle name and my Grandmother's name. Even though both of us hated the name Faye, now we have a little one to carry on the family tradition.:D
