So I've re-herniated the disc I had surgery for back in March, and in an attempt to avoid a second surgery, I have an epidural steroid injection coming up tomorrow morning.

Shit sounds terrifying. Any you guys had one? If so, how did it go?

Me too. A sweet malpractice settlement would be pretty awesome.

I don't walk around much anyway.

Hahaha. Touche, fatboy.

I guess a wheelchair would be sweet.

I've done it 3x times, and done the epidural drip 2x times. Do they put you to sleep?

I was too pansy to do it awake, so I found a doc that puts you to sleep. I always woke up in pain but they gave me morphine, and within 24 hours it was like a miracle and no more back pains.
Mine wore off in 3-6m (but I know some people who it lasts up to 5 years). The drips lasted 12m for me.

I've done it on a rabbit before it that helps haha

No, but seriously, the procedure is relatively benign. If you're healthy (not diabetic or with a current infection) or on blood thinners, you have pretty much nothing to worry about. The chance something will go wrong is pretty slim.

Have had a spinal tap, and imagine that procedure is similar. It was low on my list of worries at the time.

And? How did it go? I get them twice a year for my back, no problems so far and they work, but I pay them a ton of cash to keep me so anesthetized that I am one breath away from a coma.
