Even if you got the flares stripped off, that much of a bonus might render it impossible to enchant with a mage.

It'd also likely be possible to take it up to 4x, but not greater than that via normal Wizard enchanting. The real impossibility with enhancive enchanting only really kicks in for major projects. I've enchanted a few huge bonuses up to 4x.

That would be a pretty insane weapon at 4x with the lightning flares for twc.

The only problem with that is I'm wondering if, in addition to needing the lore requirements to enchant flared weapons, it also increases the difficulty and that in addition to the extra difficulty from the enhancives would make enchanting it overly difficult even as a minor project.

Only gives +6 to your 2nd weapon. Sadly the OHE won't apply to the TWC weapon... or it's a 5x(ish) weapon in your offhand and then it'd be +20 to your main hand.

well partial increase, oversimplified a bit. But wouldn't it get like 3/5th of the edged skill increase? So roughly +10 in this case, I forget the exact formula.
