So I have a level 85 Halfling Mage with pretty good stats.

I'm doing some math for what I could get my archery AS to with 100 ranks of Air Lore for -2Sec RT.

Strength (STR): 99 (9) ... 99 (9)
Constitution (CON): 96 (33) ... 96 (33)
Dexterity (DEX): 95 (37) ... 95 (37)
Agility (AGI): 96 (33) ... 96 (33)
Discipline (DIS): 92 (16) ... 92 (16)
Aura (AUR): 95 (17) ... 95 (17)
Logic (LOG): 96 (28) ... 96 (28)
Intuition (INT): 95 (32) ... 95 (32)
Wisdom (WIS): 96 (23) ... 96 (23)
Influence (INF): 81 (10) ... 81 (10)

Here is the training I have dreamed up.

4 Ranks Armor
1x Ranged - 186 Skill
1x Physical Training
20 Ranks Climb
30 Ranks Swim
2x Perception (172 ranks)
1x Magic Item Use
1x Arcane Symbols
1x Harness Power
2x Spell Aim
24 Ranks EMC

60 MjE
75 MnE
50 Wiz

100 Ranks Air Lore (-2sec RT)

This would give me an AS around (37 + 186 + 33 + 25 + 20) + 50 + 35(col) = 386 Using a 5x bow and my own ebladed arrows.

Seeing as how my Bolt AS is much higher than that currently, would it even be worth it doing archery at this point? Is my AS even high enough to make it worth while? I would obviously have some disabling/knockdown spells and be running haste pretty much non-stop. But 386 seems pretty low considering what I hunt now.

Anyway, if you think there are some alterations in training I could do or if it's just best to wait until I get considerably post-cap. Right now that seems the way to go for me, as the TP investment to actually be decent seems high.

Thanks for the input.

No thoughts?

From what I learned when designing my own warmage, it's a build that's fairly unsuitable when you pass 70 or so.

Your AS just can't keep up when you stop gaining extra benefits from things like 425.

mmm....there's plenty of people who have gone past 70, and at least a few capped archer mages, but the build is noticeably less powerful in that range than pre-50.

Sounds like it will be a post-cap project as I get TP's. Something to do on the side for fun.
