Lores or spells?

I'm wondering...is it worth not bothering with a lore to 3x (or almost 3x) spells? The way I hear it, it doesn't really matter until you've got quite a few ranks, and I doubt the character'll get very high, especially to the point that it matters. (I'm bad at keeping characters, what can I say?)

If you're planning on staying under say 30-40. Go for the spells. You'll have more spells to work with, by that level the lore training still won't matter much.

Elemental Lore - Fire - 37 Ranks

Spell Lists
Major Elemental....................| 36

Spell Lists
Minor Elemental....................| 37

Spell Lists
Wizard.............................| 20

and i jump back and forth from level to level doing 2x major or 2x minor

[Askip]

At level 78 Askip has zero lores and is doing well. He has already survived a war griffin attack and killed an Ithzir janissary, so I find no fault with either his defense or offense.

It's more an RP choice than a mechanics necessity.
