I tried it and immediately thought it was very much like God of War. Which was very much like Onimusha. But then thinking about it further I realized that the chain weapon really did originate with Castlevania. Although Link’s boomarang was close?

I don’t think I will buy this. I did enjoy the demo though. I dig the format but GOW III just came out and MOH and Fallout Vegas are coming out this month.

I was thinking of picking this up, but as Back pointed out, Fallout New Vegas will be taking up all of my time in the near future.

It doesn't feel like a Castlevania to me at all - as was pointed out, it's more or less a God of War/Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden clone. Granted, a very polished and well-executed game, but I don't think it's a very good Castlevania game. If the main character didn't wield a whip and have the name of "Belmont" it would have pretty much nothing to justify its name.
