Any have any idea why a copy of Ubuntu would get to this purplish screen upon loading from a disk and give me an infinite blinking between a cursor and a little round timer of some sort? I'm trying to get it installed on one of my desktops because I really don't feel like buying another copy of windows... is it likely that the burning process fucked up somewhere, or am I missing something?

Nuts to that, took fucking forever. I'm sure I have a friend with it, I'll make them give me a disc. Thanks.

How is it taking forever to download a 700 mb ISO? Are you still using your 14.4 modem to complete your immersion in gemstone?
