... stereotypical white-trash moron?

She is the first person people talk to when they come into my showroom. She is unprofessional, low-brow and goes so far as to whine to everyone who gives her half a chance to talk about how her ex-husband is a horrible man who does all these mean things to her and cheated her out of ANY custody of her children. Oh and she wants to go to school for law so she can become a judge to help women stop gettingt screwed over in divorces.

I can't rep you.

Fuck.

That seems a decent compromise. Your place or mine?

I had one person we hired for day work like that once. Talking about all sorts of inappropriate stuff. One time started talking in front of a group of people she didn't know about how her step kid molested her daughter. I made sure we didn't see her again after that.

She also would walk around the office barefoot without her hair combed dressed like a lumberjack (lots of flannel). Yes, she was related to someone in management, and both were let go eventually.

Its amazing. I can understand that if your unaccustomed to sales, it can be hard to feel comfortable surrounded by sales people and customers. However, professionalism should be standard across the board.

One of our project managers. I think I've spoken about her stupidity plenty of times that people around here can attest to it, probably sick of it too. I know I am but she annoys me so.

She's just a moron and has no idea of how to be a manager of people. They should have never promoted her to manage human beings because she has no idea what she is doing. I wanna know who she's blowing to cover up her immense, unknowledgeable ass.

I remember one day I sent her an email with the screenshot of the application error with one of our products. So when she went to log this bug in our system, she took a SCREENSHOT OF THE EMAIL WITH THE SCREENSHOT to attach to the logged item.

One time I logged a bug with a product that several of us do not like working with because it's full of problems and very non user friendly. She came to me with an alternative way to make it work.

Me: "That's the other way. The true way, the way it was supposed to work from inception, is what's broken, had you followed the steps in the bug post."
Her: "You don't have enough of a history with this product to make that kind of determination."
Me: "I was there during the initial discussions regarding functionality."
Her: "That's the way it was designed."
Me: "It was intentionally designed wrong?"
Her: "No one uses that function anyway."
Me: "Because it's broken."
Her: "I can't talk to you when you yell at me."

Luckily I no longer work for her but I still have to work with her on mutual projects. She's still a royal pain in my ass to work with.

I'd love to tell you, but I have no clue who called the anonymous narc line at work about me looking at these message boards. They pulled my internet records, pulled up screenshots of this site, and promptly held a meeting with me.

I'm getting in trouble because you all used bad words. Lame.

Ooooooooh Good Thread. I have so much ammo for this thread.

First a little info. I work as a security officer licensed by the state. Because we are licensed by the state, corporations who use us adhere to local tax deduction programs such as 'Employ an Ex Convict', 'Employ a welfare recipeint', 'Employ a homeless person' and even 'Employ a disabled senior citizen'. Every once in a while they hire a veteran. They get tax deductions for that too. That is where I come in. The people I work with....omg. Here are a few tidbits.

First my supervisor. I feel really sorry for her. She is really overweight, most of it has to be her boobs. They are gigantic. She has a lazy eye and TWO snaggle tooths. She limps. No I am not exagerating. Best of all she never stops talking about Jesus. We get like 4 regional weather updates a day and one day I commented on the hurricanes in the atlantic. She said these words exactly, and they were dripping with disdain," Oh I dont check those. I know my lord will protect and keep me. That is all I need to know."

I literally WTFed for 5 minutes. I was really not prepared for her at all. Last but not least....more than anything in the world my supervisor wants to be married. If a man, any man, comes to the desk she will literally shove whoever is sitting there out of the way....which is usually this elderly female officer who has been there since the beginning of time.... and begin to do everyone elses job while she flirts (and disgusts whoever she is flirting with). My very first attempt at being conversational should have clued me in. It went like this:

Me: Are you married? Do you have kids...family near here?

Her: No but I would like to be married.

Me: Oh yeah? That's nice.

Her: Are you married?

Me: Nope, divorced. But I have one very beautiful daughter....would you like to see a picture? *me starting to pull out my phone*

Her: Why would you get divorced?

Me: *holding up a picture on my phone while she ignores it* Well my husband was abusive while I was pregnant. It was as a result of a traumatic brain injury but still...I had to get away from that environment to protect myself and my daughter so I came here. And here I am. Happy and single! Here she is...

Her: Your husband needs you. You should go back to him. Women who leave their husbands are harlots of the devil. Your first duty is to your husband and the bible teaches us to forsake all others except our Kings. Our Kings are our Husbands and we are ment to obey. *quotes bible verses for the next 30 minutes....most of it leviticus*

Me: *trying to hide the terrified look on my face as I slowly slide my phone back in my pocket*

Me: *after about 10 minutes of silence I am able to control my face and voice* Right on. The Bible rocks.

Umm. This other chick at my job has a pedophile boyfriend who is in jail for molesting some kids and she has a bucket she takes donations for his bail.

Umm....Oh! There is this awesome hippy black guy who says he marched with MLK in Washington back in the day. He has this giant booming voice like a reverend. He is still a black activist. I never get to see him because he works opposite shifts as me.

Ok...what else...Oh. I believe I've already posted on here about the guard who thinks the world was created 6000 years ago or whatever and he has been hoarding proof of scientific government conspiracy theories his whole life. He saw the darwin sticker on my car and literally cornered me and preached at me for an hour one day. He is actually not that bad, sorta interesting.

The guy I work with at night referred by a mental institution. He is a high functioning autistic. He seems cool but he really flips out at how my mailbox is organized.

I have more. Will post when i remember.

I literally WTFed for 5 minutes.

People like that always remind me of the old joke about the overly religious family in a flood...

the water starts to rise up to their porch and a cop comes to the house and tells them to get in the car they have to evacuate. They say "don't worry, the Lord will save us"

The water gets a little higher and they have to move up to the second floor to avoid it. The coast guard comes by in a boat and tries to get them to come with them. They say "don't worry, the Lord will save us"

The house is almost totally submerged now. The family takes refuge on the roof, and a rescue helicopter comes and drops a ladder telling them to climb up. They say "don't worry, the Lord will save us"

Then they all drown and die.

They meet God at the pearly gates and they say "Lord, we were devout followers. Why did you abandon us?"

God says, "I sent you a car, a boat and a helicopter...what the fuck do you want?"

She either needs to be put in the back office or let go. There's no excuse to have someone like the OP describes as the first impression for a place of business - unless you work at Walmart.
