You gesture at Albright.

Warding failed!
Albright is suddenly engulfed in an explosion of pure essence and brilliant white fire!
... and hits for 33 points of damage!
... 30 points of damage!
Extreme heat causes Albright's right arm to expand and snap. That must hurt!
He is stunned!
... 65 points of damage!
Freezing blast turns facial features a stunning, but very unhealthy shade of blue.
* Albright drops dead at your feet!
The brilliant luminescence fades from around Albright.
The very powerful look leaves Albright.
The white light leaves Albright.
The glowing specks of energy surrounding Albright suddenly shoot off in all directions, then quickly fade away.
A shadow seems to detach itself from Albright's body, swiftly dissipating into the air.
The bright luminescence fades from around Albright.
Albright seems a bit less imposing.

Yeah, I'm annoyed he didn't even search for me, pointed me right out and imploded me. I never got to see any of the death.

The entire event was a mystery to me, even though I was in the landing. I was quite disappointed in the complete lack of sharing of info, and the difficulty of getting involved.
Not a high scorer on my scale.

I had little difficulty getting involved, but I hear this from people a lot. I'm not sure what it is that causes this.
Differing timezones, and a lack of cross-timezone communication (or the event taking place solely within a certain block of time).
Nothing can really be done about that.

Oddly enough I didn't have any problem getting information, or being somewhat involved. I think it might be because Merji has a past affiliation with some of those involved, and was just grabbed up, or had offered aid as a field healer.
Merji is close to cap, and being the old fashioned player I am, I didn't want it to happen with her hunting alone on Teras, so Merji went to grab up a few friends, and ran into this story line. It was fun, and very sad at the end.

Can anyone summarize this? I didn't actively try to get involved or get information, so all I've really gathered is that it has something to do about some girl, and there were all kinds of golems (nice touch on those; gave folks who aren't capped or close to it a chance to kill something) and constructs and junk killing people, and thanks to the wounded Traiva managed to get some exp (and even coin) from just being in TSC at the right time. Oh, and someone cast Meteor Shower that managed to kill a few folks in TSC along with wherever it was originally cast.

Aside from the fucking constructs all over town making it impossible to leave TSC unless you were capped, it was fun to have something - anything - happening in the Landing for once. I think the story was interesting and the way it divided the townspeople was fun to watch. I didn't try too hard to become involved (I'm admittedly a powerhunter with minimal interest in RP) but whenever my young empath asked questions about the situation, plenty of people piped up to fill him in.

I'll sum up the best of what I know.
One night, this girl (Mirayam) showed up in town with absolutely no recollection of how she got there or who she was. Shortly thereafter an orc showed up with her journal (not very helpful). A few days later Albright showed up demanding the girl or he'd lay siege to the city. We refused, then portals spewing constructs and golems began hammering the town. At that point, Mirayam disappeared. Finally, Saturday night we managed to kill Albright, having caused him to over exert himself creating demons which made him weak enough for attack. Sunday, Mirayam reappeared and closed the portals but was killed. That leaves this Lady Raznel (some kind of insect-filled demon) I believe.
Very short summary but hits all the highlights.

Was anyone else confused when this wasn't about the former Secretary of State dying? I even went to check to see if I had her in the death pool.

I thought the same thing. Then I went to search for a photo of Will Ferrell dressed up as her, but then found out that I was confusing her with Janet Reno.

Nice Elven,
I didn't have any issue with the invasion at all. My main is only about 40 trains and was free to roam (not without caution) from room to room and actually had a hand in killing some of the mobs. They seemed to range from mid 20s to cap. Fun for all, much better than the invasions that I was used to where it was only capped characters with a chance of killing monsters.
For those invasions I'd just go to the end and log off for a few hours.
Now that's lame
Someone also managed to kill Raznel (Svardin I think?) prior to Mirayam showing up and closing the portals.
There was some interesting background to the story with information regarding a group of outlaw mages and summoners using 'blood magic' to create the golem, Mirayam from 'living urnon' and killing hundreds of women to create her.
When Mirayam died she left behind an urnon shard or two, of which I know Fremie (Who was involved with the story from the start.) received one.
It was a pretty decent storyline for only lasting 1 week, hopefully it ties into other events in the future.

With how close monks are to release, I was actually surprised they didn't debut in this event.
The closed beta is going extremely well.

Are any logs available? Seems interesting.

Ah nice. I just went over to the landing from teras on Saturday and joined the group that was pursuing Albright. It was really exciting planning, hunting and of course finally killing him.
Part of me wanted to stick around to go after Raznel, but the action really died down for a while after we killed Albright. There were still constructs coming in, but unfortunately a pure sorcerer can't do that much to them. I killed a couple giant demons, but they were too few and far between, so I ended up going back to teras. I wish they would have added some 100+ golems into the mix that were not immune to magic.

I am soo dragging my feet. Also..make Eoghain quit murdering people so that Merji can stop being angry with him!
Btw, I was apparently wrong. Apparently Raznel isn't dead. Kinda hard to kill a bug lady who just reforms herself I guess.
I know she was attacked multiple times.

Yeah, I killed her, Darckwizard killed her, and some other people did, too, but none of them stuck.

Little late on this but for those saying they had trouble getting involved.... It was easy. I mean, I had just got back, been in game for 1 day prior, and I'm fairly known as being a fucking douche, and I got involved and learned all about it. Unfortunately I couldn't stay in because I went on vacation to Rome and I'm not going to play gs on vacation.
