So, my ranger's 80 (don't even ask how long it took to get that far), and minotaurs are a complete freaking snore. I want to stay local to the Landing, but are the Bowels going to completely own a sniper-ranger? If so, I guess it's warcamps for me, but I'd like to up my Adv Guild advancement. I know they are stone critters, so are my arrows going to just plink right off? Skills follow. He has a sighted bow and padded brig, 4 ranks smastery, 2 disarm, 1 cdefense, if that matters at all. Thanks for any input.

The bowels suck for an archer, but if you use Sigil of Major Bane, you'll be all right. Make sure you prone stuff before you kill it or it'll fall on you. You might want to redirect some cman points to sweep.

Can your character stomach the nations? It is true that Maghara(Sp?) Tower is pretty easy.

As soon as you can get to 87 you can start getting bounties in Nelemar.

My ranger at 66 or so finds the lesser Minos and Minotaur Warriors easy.

All Illoke are in hauberk equivalent. You should be able to rape them. It's the krynches and elementals you'll have to worry about as they're both in plate, and EEs have ~20% damage reduction, IIRC

Jarls also routinely have shields, which blows for archers.

You're better off going somewhere else, unfortunately. I'd at least try it out before moving though. You may be able to skip non-illoke.

The Nations is pretty easy and you can make a lot of coins too. The Bowels are just a nightmare for me (archer). The elders and jarls aren't so bad but the elementals and krynches are a total pain.
