Swap Meet Information
Summary: Most of us probably have things, perfectly nice things, sitting in our lockers that we will never use again. Maybe it’s a type of armor that we grew out of, or a weapon type that we flirted with briefly but ultimately found lacking in, or maybe we just got really tired of pink. Whatever the reason, the purpose of the Swap Meet is to provide everyone with an equal opportunity to walk in with an item they neither need nor want and to walk away with something that they do.
Items: The items themselves will be broken down into three major Categories, subdivided into Tiers, which creates a total of six Pools.
Categories: All items will belong to one of three major categories, Armor and Weapons, Clothing and Jewelry, or Toys and Fluff.
Tiers: Each category will be further divided into two tiers, 100k-500k and 501k-1m
Pools: All items within a specific tier of a given category will form a pool of items. Example: All clothing items valued between 100k –500k would be one pool of items, all weapons and armor valued between 501k-1M would form another pool.
Rules: Each character can participate in as many of the pools as they desire, but may not enter the same pool more than once.
Participation: There is a limit of 25 participants per pool, and as such it is recommended that individuals who wish to participate RSVP as soon as possible. Upon submitting information regarding which pools an individual wishes to take part in, and which items they intend to add to the pools in which they are participating, the individual will be contacted to make arrangements to exchange said items for a participation token for use on the night of the swap meet. Then, on the night of the Swap Meet the order in which participants are able to select their desired item from the pool will be determined randomly by way of lantern charm, at which time the participant will exchange their token for an item.
Example: Jane RSVPs for the Swap Meet on October 3rd, and elects to participate in all available pools. She supplies information about a total of six (6) items that she will be adding to the various pools. Having submitted her contact information, an event coordinator makes arrangements to exchange her items for six (6) participation tokens, one for each pool in which she is participating. On the night of the Swap Meet, Jane is lucky enough to be the first person selected for the first pool of the night! Looking over the pool of available items, she makes her selection and then returns the token in exchange for the item. Additional participants are selected in random order until everyone has had the chance to select an item from the pool.
Additional Notes: If, after having RSVPed for the event, a conflict arises that will prevent the participant from actually attending on the night of the Swap Meet the participant should contact an event coordinator so that their items can be pulled from the various pools and arrangements can be made for their return.
Donations: Individuals who cannot or do not desire to participate but who would still like to help are encouraged to contact Lady Kyaloria at kyaloria@gmail.com or via AIM at GS Eunoia. All donations will be noted as to who they were donated by, unless the benefactor would prefer to remain anonymous.

The following items, in addition to the items provided by participants, will be available in their respective pools.
Armor and Weapons
Tier 1
an imflass metal breastplate (+22) Donated by the OAS
a silver-hilted azure rolaren badelaire (4x falchion) Donated by the OAS
Show: The slightly curved, flat blade of azure-tinted rolaren is flecked with silvery inclusions. Silvery mithril forms a scallop-edged cross guard which gently curves upwards from the hilt towards the blade. Lengths of white, silver, and cobalt silk are braided around the hilt of the badelaire. A stylized sunburst of deep blue azurite is inset upon the pommel.
>rub badelaire
As you rub your badelaire lightly, a black wisp of light appears briefly before your eyes.
>wave badelaire
As you slice the badelaire through the air, it emanates a low reverberating echo.
Tier 2
a double-bladed white ora adze (4x THW, battle axe base. Locked Iasha weapon)
a lacquered auburn linden staff banded with heavy silver niello at each end/a wing-bladed auburn linden partisan (4x Polearm, spear base. Morphs from staff to partisan)
Show (Partisan): Set upon an elongated staff of auburn linden wood is a brilliant white vultite partisan spearhead. The two axe heads on either side are spread wide with a scalloped edge, carefully etched to appear like unfurled wings, while the center blade is wrought with a smoothed hourglass shape terminating with a decisive point. A spray of ivory swan feathers is bound underneath the silver niello band by a cord of brilliant emerald silk.
>lean partisan
You plant the tip of your partisan on the ground firmly and lean on it, taking advantage of the support it offers.
>tap partisan
You tap the tip of your partisan on the ground.
>spin partisan
You spin your partisan through the air in front of you, the length of it blurring into a continuous circle.
>pull partisan
You pull a small lever on the base of your partisan and the blade retracts swiftly, leaving you holding an innocent seeming staff.
Clothing and Jewelry
Tier 1
a satin-lined ebon cloak (Cloakworn, LA)
Show: Pale amethyst appliques of lotus blossoms in various stages of bloom adorn the hem of this finely crafted cloak, each petal traced with delicate silver beads that catch the light as the cloak moves. The burgundy satin lining is embroidered with fine silken arabesques that continue the lotus theme. A fully bloomed lotus flower clasp fashioned of polished pewter and set with glimmering feystones is fixed to the collar.
>wear cloak
As you drape your ebon cloak from your shoulders, it billows out behind you as if caught upon an unfelt breeze.
>open cloak
You throw open your ebon cloak. It billows out behind you like a pair of wings.
>close cloak
You pull your ebon cloak around yourself tightly, doing your best to conceal your form.
>remove cloak
You remove a satin-lined ebon cloak from your shoulders in an elegant sweeping motion that causes it to swirl mysteriously around you.
an ethereally pale spidersilk haversack (Backworn, LA. Loresong available upon request)
Show: The density of the pale spidersilk haversack's weave varies at regular intervals, running the gamut from the texture of heavy damask to an attenuated cloth resembling an orb weaver's web. A faintly oily sheen imbues each shimmering thread, producing a soft, shimmering iridescence at the places where the spidersilk is most thickly woven. A small black spider-shaped mark has been unobtrusively placed upon the haversack. At the center of the mark, the black ichor gives way to a reddish-brown bloodstain in the shape of an hourglass.
>touch haver
You gently stroke a finger over the surface of your pale spidersilk haversack, and the fabric shimmers faintly beneath your touch.
Tier 2
a silver-etched bloodjewel band (Morphing Jewelry)
Show (Band):The vaalin-backed selanthan bloodjewel is expertly inset onto the rim of the band. The metallic bands extending from the base vaalin are broken up into tiny segments, decreasing slightly in width as they loop out and link up together. The segmentation enables each link to recede back into another.
an intricate bloodjewel talisman ~ Each silver link is finely crafted and easily interlocked with the one adjacent to itself. A tiny silver loop is attached to the end of one string of silver links while the other string has a miniature clasp formed from pure gold. The opposite end of the silver links disappears into the vaalin base metal, which is carefully resting on top of a circular band. The selanthan bloodjewel fills the center of the circular band perfectly.
a twisted bloodjewel earring ~ The two strips of segmented metal entwine one another with perfect symmetry. A small linking clasp secures the selanthan bloodjewel to the base of the twisted metals. A tiny hook of pure gold protrudes out from the tip of one of the twined metal strips serving as the fastener between the earlobe and earring.
a sigil-covered bloodjewel bracer ~ The selanthan bloodjewel is imbedded onto a thin sheet of vaalin that extends outward away from the center plate, covering the backside of the wearer's fist. Also extending from the center plate, in the opposite direction of the imbedded sheet of vaalin, is a spine-like strip of steel. Several sheets of metal branch off from the spine in a half-circle arc that would easily cover the lower forearm of the wearer.
Complete Jester Costume
a floppy bright purple hat dangling oversized brass bells from each point
a plum and white jester mask trimmed with brass bells
some vibrant bloused linen trousers fashioned of multi-hued diamond patches
a multi-hued patchwork vest fitted with bells at the pointed sleeves and hem
a pair of curl-toed suede shoes fitted with brass bells at the tips
an enameled silver and gold belt ~ Large hoops of silver and gold form the sturdy links of the garish belt which is designed to sit at an angle upon the hips. Shiny black enamel graces fist sized silver charms of spades and clovers in an alternating pattern around bright red enameled golden charms of hearts and diamonds. An intricate clasp in the center is crafted in the semblance of a brass bell, the large hoops securing where a clapper should be.
a polished silver ball
>pull ball
You carefully balance your polished silver ball upon the back of your hand, then move your arm in a gentle wave. The ball dances across the length of your arm, past your elbow and up onto your shoulder, before slipping down your chest into your waiting hand.
>twist ball
You lay your polished silver ball upon the back of your hand and wiggle your fingers in a playful manner. The ball rolls from pinky to index finger then back again.
>kick ball
You drop the polished silver ball and, just before it hits the ground, lift your foot causing the two to collide. The ball flips high into the air! Stepping forward, and beneath it, you catch the ball behind your back.
>spin ball
Balancing your polished silver ball on the tip of your fingers, you give it a gentle spin with your thumb. The ball whirls into motion, and you draw your other fingers back so that it is left to spin upon your index finger only.
>wave ball
You weave your hands together in a sinuous dance, allowing your polished silver ball to transfer from your left hand to your right hand, then back again.
>toss ball
You toss your polished silver ball high into the air and deftly catch it moments before it hits the ground.
