A soft black linen gown
This dark linen gown is cut to emphasize, not to hide, the natural curves of the person wearing it. Pale silver roses are stitched on the hem of the gown and around the edges of the pelisse-length sleeves. A knee-length slit on the back of the skirt shows a delicate underskirt of soft white linen upon which brilliant red roses have been carefully embroidered. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
Your careful inspection of a soft black linen gown allows you to conclude that it is cloth armor that covers the torso only.

That's your bad. When I had the bid on this shop, I was working on Citizenship in IMT to be able to have the shop... and if you read, or paid attention, you can 'earn the right' to be a citizen for every city in Elanthia simultaneously...and then you just sign the book to get citizenship for wherever you choose.
So you could have 'earned the right' in the 8 hours it takes to 'earn' it and sat on it till the shop was officially yours.
That's what I did.
