Twohanded or two weapons?

Was wondering, which offers a faster kill (on average) at the mid to higher levels, Twohanded weapons or useing two?

My experience with both using a ranger at mid levels were that they were pretty much the same. Ambush right leg, wait 6 seconds, ambush head. If the critter had a soft head then forget the legging. If you aren't ambushing, then I would imagine thw would be noticeably better.

But defensively, I thought TWC was much better.

I was just looking for a swinging in the open compair. ambush kinda limits a reason for a twohander.
