Well I just finished reading The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. So I need another book to read but the problem is I have to read Lord of the Flies and Macbeth at the same time for school. (Our teacher didn't do anything all year so we're getting everything now)

My question is do I start another book and read three at a time or wait till I finish one of the other two?

Read one of the other two, first.

I recommend Lord of the Flies. Fascinating book.

Classic Book.

You will enjoy reading it Leloo, despite it being assigned for the class, it could count as leisure reading for you too. :)

Well we have to read both at the same time. Act I of Macbeth was due today and chapter one of Lord of the Flies is due Wed. I have both done... I just don't really want to read either for pleasure and like for example when I hunt, I like to read in between to keep myself occupied.

I liked Macbeth when we did it my Junior year. I'd say do both Lord of the Flies & Macbeth, and start another book when you finish one of the two. Either way they're pretty quick reads.

Heh - I could never read 2 books at 1 time, i cant keep the storys i'm reading seperate, so i start to merge the two in my head....i dont understand how a teacher can do that to you.

Cause for the first two marking periods all we did was take attendance... it takes her twenty minutes to take attendance. Oh we wrote on essay that she gave us two months to do and gave us every day in class to do it. And of course I was already done with it so I did other homework in that class for half the year. Now she realized she's lacking the grades and the principal yelled at her so she's giving us two books at once.

I'd save Macbeth for reading while hunting. While it's a great story, reading a play is more difficult and choppy than reading a novel. Lord of the Flies is a real classic, not to mention pretty short. Read the entire thing on a Saturday and get it done with. Once you get into it, it'll go quick.

What a horrible teacher. It's people like her that is why public education is plummenting in quality.

Your parents and others of the PTA should get her fired/replaced.

I'm aghast that there's basically no curiculum for that class.
