I know there are some folks on the PC like myself, whom enjoy anime. This post is directed to you.
Starting Monday Sept 20th, I'll be broadcasting anime on my justin.tv stream from 3-6pm PST. This will happen each week at the same time on Monday. The anime will start with shows that I've personally not watched yet but if I get enough folks watching weekly I'll start letting those folks pick the next show. There is also a chat built into the stream, so we can BS or what not while watching. :)
Check it out, who knows, you might find out you kinda like that anime stuff. :)
The stream is http://www.justin.tv/trinitis

It's a mixture really. I'm a big fan of the older stuff myself, but some of the newer stuff I do like.
Some of the shows I have up for playing at this point is stuff like Ranma 1/2, Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, etc.

There is a lot of common ground on this forum.

The real question is... subbed or dubbed? Call me crazy but I can't watch anime if it's dubbed, it somehow sounds so wrong!

All the anime I'll be streaming will be subbed.

Cool.
Question: Which licences do you have permission from? I ask because I want to know about how many times you'll get to go on the air before you start getting CaD orders in your email. This way I know which series' to suggest.
For now, I'll go with a short one called "Eden of the East" - cool stuff.

If they ask me to stop, I will. But I'm receiving no payment for any of this in any way, so i don't feel bad sharing it until they ask me to stop. My streams have a chance of causing other people to buy the anime. /shrug

I absolutely agree with you both in logic and in principle, but I've seen some CaD orders go out pretty wantonly in the past.
I love the idea, and I plan to tune in, but I am also quite adept at playing the pessimist, and do so for free =)

Dubbed for life. I could listen to Anglo-Spike for a thousand hours, which is a good thing because he's done at least that much work on various popular anime shows.
I liked Witch Hunter Robin, even if the part where THAT GUY completely loses his mind and acts contrary to everything he'd done previously made no sense whatsoever. I liked TRIGUN more, mostly because Vash is the greatest hero in modern storytelling, and also because I did not want to die this way.

Wow... we agree on something. Especially the part about Vash being (one of) the greatest hero(s) in modern storytelling.
That dubbed thing is gay though. Learn to read. While I admit Steven Jay Blum does good work, I'd still much rather see it subbed than dubbed (except Cowboy Bebop, as I do feel the dub is equal in quality to the sub).

The only anime I've ever watched in english dub without any complaints is ranma 1/2. and I'm fairly sure thats because it was the first anime I ever watched, and it was dubbed at the time of my watching.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with this too.
I was like 15 and didn't know any better. That said, I have since rewatched it all in subtitles, and it's cooler. Plus, the voice of Ranma (boy-type) doesn't suddenly change in an epic fashion in season 6.

You got to admit though, even though it was dubbed, after growing up with crap on TV like ninja turtles and X-men..Ranma 1/2 was the SHIT at 15.

It was definately better than some of the other stuff (Though I'll ask you to leave both X-men and gargoyles out of this, since those rocked).
One of my favorite episodes is where Ryoga learns the breaking point technique. Tough training...

Eh, X-men was O.K. but thats about as far as I'd be willing to go. I was a huge fan of the comics back then and after reading the comics the show was horrible.

They definately didn't stay true to anything much that was going on around that time... especially with the whole Dark Phoenix thing... but I still liked it. Plus...

The "beta" test of the unmonitored stream for the last 13 hours went off perfectly! Not a single issue, down time, or anything! Thanks to all the folks that stopped by and sent me word on how it looked/sounded. I did some minor adjustments, and it's about the best I can possibly get the stream.
Now I just need to decide on which anime I'm going to kick the weekly stream off with on the 20th.
