The selections are trending strongly upwards for me. I loved this book cover to cover. I loved the apostrophed people, I loved (LOVED) the golems, I loved the intrigue (such as it was), I loved the magic and the sort of magic, I loved the severe love interest, I loved the main character, I loved the Patrician and his ridiculous charisma, I loved the brushed-upon other races. I can't think of a single thing I wasn't head over heels for, which I am taking as a guarantee that RojoDisco is going to rationally and inarguably destroy my elation and grind her heels on my joy.

Until that occurs, an A+ for Terry Pratchett!

lmao! Sorry sweetie, forgot to read this one. Sounds good too. Really sorry I missed it. Languish sexily in your indulgence of bad worcraft without fear of my heel grinding.

I'll catch the next one though.

Anything and everything by Terry Pratchett is awesome. I did quite like Going Postal as well as his newer one, Unseen Academicals. The characters are always interesting yet oddly familiar in an I-have-a-great-uncle-just-like-Ridcully! kind of way.

Highly recommended. His books are excellent for airplanes and traveling in general.

Adora is the perfect cynical bitch, Moist and her crack me up. Moist asking at smoke shops where to find her was hilarious!

Vetinari is always excellent and by far one of my favorite characters in any of the Discworld novels.. his meeting with the trunk company in GP is one of my favorite scenes in the book.
