a mint green moth saewehna stickpin
Streaked with warm cream and faint hints of pinkish brown, the cabochon of moth saewehna is predominantly mint green in hue. The ever-changing kaleidoscopic surface of the jewel throbs and swirls like a slowly rotating tempest, and veins of silver highlight the intensity of each individual color. A delicate cage of alum gentle cradles the jewel and provides it with a sturdy backing fitted with a slender pin.

I won this stickpin at the Mist Harbor Festival last week. It adds to +4 DIS and +8 to Spell Aiming Ranks. A saewehna is a gem unique to Mist Harbor.

The loresong mentions no level restrictions. Normally, +5 ranks (I could find no info on any higher) is a level 50 restriction and +8 skill bonus is a level 36 restriction. My level 27 wizard was able to see the bonus.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the moth saewehna stickpin in your hand...

The stickpin resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 4 to Discipline.
It provides a bonus of 8 to Spell Aiming Ranks.
This enhancive item may not be used by the following professions: Warrior Rogue Cleric Empath Sorcerer Ranger Bard Paladin Savant
The stickpin looks to have almost innumerable charges remaining.

You sense that the moth saewehna stickpin will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.

Since it adds to ranks and not skill, it is very expensive to recharge. 220k bounty points for one go, and it will take 5+ to fill it back up. It isn't worth it to most people to recharge, but it does have "almost innumerable charges remaining," so it should last a while! It also doesn't specifically exclude monks, and DIS is one of their mana stats.

You can bid by posting here or PMing me. This goes once-twice-sold.

The loresong lists no minimum level to use it.

Yes, ranks :( GM Thandiwe said that ranks v skill was considered when the item was created and it would not be changed.

I'm guessing if it had been bonus instead of ranks, it would've had to be a lower number.

That said, it's not particularly appealing, and I love collecting enhancives for my wizard.

EDIT: What I don't understand is why it's discipline... that shit isn't terribly important for a wizard AFAIK.

Because the GM who created it flat out said she doesn't know much about mechanics, and thus, doesn't worry overmuch about mechanics.

Hence why she had to change a number of the other profession enhancives when it was shown that said enhancives did absolutely nothing for that profession.

Brilliant. Obviously the perfect person was found to create these items.

The Ranger raffle enhancive was +4 CON. And after complaining, I was told that it was right, and no change would be made. No DEX? Bummer.

The bonus to Spell Aiming alone is pretty sexy.

To the people who neg repped me for entering a raffle for an item I didn't want...

I didn't enter the raffle. I was there for the lightening that happened after the drawing. I won the spin for the second stickpin and subsequently and unsuccessfully tried to give it away to friends.

Even if I HAD entered, they didn't announce the stats on the items beforehand, and we didn't get a final answer on the ranks v skills confusion until after. When you are offered a mystery item that is supposedly good for your profession, do you say no?

Of course you stupid selfish bastard! WTF is wrong with you?!

JAY-KAY =)

Seriously, good luck selling it, I'm sure it'll make someone happy.

To the buyer: Run it down and never recharge it, then try to resell it empty, since you're probably not going to get a fixskill worth of coins for it with a single recharge in it.
