I was watching a documentary about a new jersey pizzaria and I heard myself say, "See, that guys alright. Them fellers on MTV sure are making a bad name for themselves." That may not be accurate due to lag time between couch and computer.

I sounded like my grandfather.

He's a bad motherfucker so I suppose thats cool.

*You can replace old with drunk.

Yeah, or mention the positive benefits of having an enourmous Farside book for the bahtroom.

Whats Farside? Is the general answer.

On second thought, I might be alone here and it may explain things.

I put in extra u's for the English. You're welcome.

I still refuse to believe I'm getting older even though I'm starting to get salt and pepper hair......

bahtroom.

The smaller farside books were a bit less cumbersome in the bathroom, you could just cycle through them.

I bet a viking wouldn't use a smaller book. You could kill shit with those things. Bigger the book the more badass it is.

Life goals: have a room with its walls shelved with big badass dusty books.

And a sailboat.

You shouldn't be starting any life goals at your age.

Hey man, I'm like a fine wine. I get better with age.

Insert joke about how wine from a box tastes better.

I realized I was old when I hadnt tried to turn a straight chick gay for 6 whole months. And when I tried to take a shot of stoli and the world dimmed at the edges. And when I tried to run my fav beach in July and nearly melted into the ocean. Also MY FUCKING KNEES. Why do they hurt when I run and when did it start.

Fixed.

Good thinking. I could probably score some hard working rowers at Home Depot on the cheap.

Speaking of comics, when I no one I talk to appreciates Bill or this guy:

I was perusing the racial slur database with a friend who wanted to know the origin of "moon cricket" when we saw "Modern Farm Equipment". You could just run your boat on Modern Farm Equipment.

Sorting through some boxes, I found my old Dragon Warrior game for the NES that I got for my 12th Birthday, and realized it is now 21 years old..

Wow holy crap... I didn't realize how old that game is. I still have the instruction manual for that game. The artwork in it is amazing. It's the only instruction manual I've ever kept.

I owned a power glove. It was an enormous piece of shit for playing any games. It was pretty fun to wear it while playing guns, making forts and later on making improvised weaponry to war with the asshole kids in our neighborhood.

Lord of the Flies and shit.

At one point I cut the coord off of my NES blaster, that gun was the fucking shit for toy guns, it made the best sound, and looked badass. I later found out that this made it stop functioning with the NES.

I realized I was old when I googled it and it first popped up.

I'm not sure how I meant that now.

Man I miss magic the gathering.. it got way to blah after ice age and 4th edition. Also they started reprinting to many cards in new sets. And took away allot of fun things.

My favorite screw you moment in magic was when I played an Eureka, followed by kismet, stasis, Birds of Paradise with instill energy, and finally my Serra..

I swear the kid cried.. course I was 19 and he was like 12.. but hey.. thats life.

Also.. not long ago an old friend asked me if I still had my out of prints.. I said I sold all my stuf over a decade ago for money for a computer.. he laughed and said I could have bought a house now if I had saved them.. FML.

I realized I was old when I came to the realization that I would likely never go for a run again. I guess the one consolation is that the same set of genes that gave me lousy joints gave me a full head of hair that won't turn grey till I hit about 55.

I'm not sure if it happened when I realized that a hangover now lasts multiple days, my wounds don't always heal inside of a week, or my total inability to relate with anyone 20 and under.

When I bought my first pair of straight leg jeans, and threw away my last pair of relaxed fit.

When my friends came over for dinner and had to leave early because their 4 mo. old son was being fussy because he didn't want to go to sleep.

When I was talking about movies with a bunch of Summer Students, and neither of them caught half the references I quoted. I'm just waiting for someone to hit me with, "What's a VHS?"

I may be over exposing myself here... but I think that guy's name was Scott. He didn't last long as I recall.
