WHY YOU WANT ONE:
They weigh .5 lbs. They can carry up to 5 weapons. They reduce the weight of EACH weapon by 2 lbs while stowed. They look cool. Depending on the type, I can make it attach almost anywhere to your body. Arrow bundles will recieve reduction as well - with the objective being to create 3 lbs bundles (the bundles will weigh 1lbs in the bundle - half lbs round up)

The mechanics:

To begin, I need pelts, hides, skins - that sort of shit. Not sure all the possible types, but you should get the idea - and it HAS to bundle. If you can't bundle it - I can't use it. They also all have to be the same type. I expect most people to gather rat or squirrel skins. FOR OPTIMUM RESULTS - you want 50 pelts. I am almost positive the capacity is directly tied to this. 50 pelts should hold up to 5 weapons at once. You need to tell me what type of sheath you want - here are your choices:

sheath|scabbard|sling|harness|baldric|swordbelt|fr og|dagger sheath|dagger scabbard|bow sling|quiver

Next, I need cash. I have to cure the hides with mild, strong, or laquer. Mild is cheapest and will leave your sheath with the animal pelt name. Strong will rename it to 'leather'. Laquer will rename it to 'laquered'. Not sure how much mild costs for 50 units - I'm guessing 1-2k. Strong will be 5k for 50. Laquer is either 20 or 25k.

At this point, I will return to you a wax package which will require 35 hours to dry. Just stow it away somewhere and keep your eye on it. If you look at it, you will see the timer. When finished - get it back to me and I'll sew it up.

LOCATION:
Decide where you want it to attach. Sling and harness patterns are already equipped with a shoulder strap. Also, you can only attach wrist straps to sheathes or scabbards made with four units, arm or ankle straps to ones made with eight units or less, and thigh straps to ones made with sixteen units or less.

FLAIR
You can choose either 1 or two things to trick your sheath out. This can be done at ANY TIME. Choose from dye, inlaid jewels, metal binding, metal trimming, or fringe. All of the options except color can be used twice, but will use up both pieces of flair.

DYE: Add a color, 50 silver per hide. On a 50 pelt sheath, the dry time is 41 hours 40 minutes. Colors available:

Ah, one of the few useful services us warriors can offer others. I'm at 42 ranks in tricks now, I'm excited to finally be able to make my own one of these soon!

http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/User:PFLATS/SHEATHM for costs and stuff

edit: you're missing a few metal types for the sheath and a few other minor details.

2 skins = 1 pound held
10 skins per item held

50 skin max = 5 items, 25 lbs

2nd edit: if you're making a 50lb sheath for yourself, cure it in 5 or 10 skin bundles at a time, then sew them together after they're cured. It'll save a ton of curing time.
