Bought it from Drew last year when it was still 6x. (I think he got it from EG)
You remove an ora-plated silvery golvern sledgehammer from in your cloak.
Glistening motes of sky blue sapphire wink from the moon-hued golvern that comprises the sledgehammer's massive head. Supported by a thick leather-wrapped haft of stained witchwood, the head is shaped roughly like an hourglass. Its expert forging contrasts starkly with its obvious and brutal purpose as a weapon. Twin sunburst sigils adorn the twin striking faces, which are forged from layered plates of white ora. A faint aura of holy light radiates from the sledgehammer.
You tap the haft of your silvery golvern sledgehammer in the palm of your hand as you get a murderous glint in your eye.
You pull your silvery golvern sledgehammer in close to your body and check it over for signs of battle wear.
You heave your silvery golvern sledgehammer into the air and give a triumphant shout!
I'm not in a rush to get rid of it or anything, but it's the only high-end item I have that I don't use on a regular basis, so if you have something you think would be good for a level 84 BG warrior, PM or IM me and see if I'm interested.

That's a really nice maul.
I can't believe you got that thing to 9x. Brute didn't emphasis this but very few other permabless items in the game have the holy water flares. This may be the only one. Other permabless weapons just have a bless that never fails. This has that and the flares. And it's a freakin maul, incredible.

Unless there are two 7x PB mauls that he's got, then I'm guessing it's the same perfect 7x maul I took to CCF and got permablessed for him.

Well I guess only he can set the record straight, but I actually asked him about this a while back, because I was interesting in trading my 9x for his 7x perfect. He stated that his wasn't player forged..

Well, I never really expect a good return on PP purchases, but depending on the value of the yen, I've probably got about 140m into this weapon. I did pay quite a bit for it originally because I wanted to get it before someone else bought it out, and Drew was actually looking for trades, not coin..
I think this is too unique to put a coin value on it... maybe the highest enchant *permablessed* THW in the game? I'm not sure. Plus I'm not that eager to get rid of it and will probably actually regret not having it in 5 levels or so..

just out of curiosity, does the permabless + flares still only incur the 1k PP penalty? So it'd be 6k points to take it to 10x?

there are some 10x THWs out there. Not saying the maul isn't a very nice THW just saying there are several of higher enchant.

Figured there were.. They just never move publicly.
edit: Whoops. I meant to say highest enchant PB Two-hander in the game.. Not sure if that's true, but I haven't seen any others.. Thanks Drew
My blessable is a 10x mattock (and other things, changes bases), but I'll be keeping it FOREVAR.

Brute also forgot to mention that this has vibe flares when swung on the living. Or maybe he did mention it, I just didn't see it. I'd offer up my mattock and some 8x HCP hauberk for it.

I think he is confused because you have a 10x perfect forged vibe flaring maul as well and this is your backup weapon. He might be confusing the 2 weapons.

I think you're right, but he's used this weapon more than me probably.. I've certainly never seen it do vibe flares. It just does the occasional spray of water which has no effect on the living.

Bluesmith chiming in here after a month long delay...the maul that BriarFox helped me out with (getting permablessed) is just a plain old 7x'er. Wish I had a chance to use it more!
