Old-school player comes back! Has questions!

Hey all,

I used to play GS3 back in high school, about 10 years ago. I found myself back on it recently, and gosh, it seems like the world is so small. A quick WHO finds 100-200 players on, compared to 1000-1500 back in primetime. So sad! Feels like this community is slowly dying..

So, I guess my question is.... is it worth it to play on Shattered, or premium? I just wanna have more peeps around to play with. More fun, bigger marketplace for goods, etc.

Also, is it ever sketchy to purchase and transfer characters? I wanna play a sorc, because they're the best, but am not looking forward to doing all the same footwork to get him into his 20s and 30s. I don't have as much free time now as I did back then!

Any thoughts / help much appreciated from this old Elanthian.

If you dont have much freetime, play shattered and script away. If you're looking for interaction you want prime. They both have a very similiar populace, however in shattered we're usually afk. Two levels this week and i've worked 57 hours in four days.

Welcome back Neil,

First off...it's a pretty accepted or common practice to barter characters. There are a slew of them out there.

Second, you might wanna check out all the changes to the different classes as well as to Sorcs. You might find that Sorcs aren't your first choice anymore.

Third, prime is going to be your best bet for people. Shattered is mainly for people who script ALL day and come awake to kill eachother. You'll still find the largest amount of active people on Prime. It's not 1500 as it was, which saddens us all, but you'll find a closer knit community of people who are a bit more willing to help.

Implosion is still pretty boss though. Basically you can't hunt with 2 spells as a sorc now.
