giantman with spiked shield. is this gonna work? looking to save mana. also, it only works when the critter is standing right?

again, would use 610 but wanna save mana. i noticed critters die easier from spike when they are already prone/stunned.

Get some flared and spiked leg greaves instead.

so sbash sux? played a rogue for a while so i've used sweep, looking for something more interesting..

Eh. To really max it you have to do some weird shit as a Warrior. There are better choices. You can't really tweak it out as well as a Paladin. There are better choices.

Sbash does work for rangers, though I think it's best if you 2x shield use, but if you're looking to prone, go with sweep. Shoot me a note and I'll give you a pair of spiked leg greaves as part of your "pwning Marlu" prizes.

I had garrote for the lulz. It was a fun way to deal with uppity dark elf mages. No real hunting application, though.

I also had sbash briefly because my shield had one of those huge ASCII House Phoenix bird insignias and I wrote a script to shout "CACAW" in someone's face, spammed showing them my shield a couple times, then sbashed them in the nads.

i like it. so the race mod isn' that big of a difference? 2x shield as a ranger will be expensive. might go with sweep.

actually now i'm able to 616 ogres fairly easily. 1/3 are dying in 1 cast. they are level 60 and i'm 54 with only 41 ranks in ranger spells which is pretty good.
