So far that's the only shop I've found with anything functional...and I bought a few things:
Seems like they each have 10 charges
Etched Golden Iron Bracelet - Strength
Pewter Medallion - Ewave
zircon-inset brass band - elemental bias
dirt-caked pewter ring - 1711 (like those heavy orbs you find on critters)
brass circlet - mass blur
brass neckchain - 303
wristlet - invis

How much are they... a 1711 10 charge ring, how much did that cost, seems like quite the valuable item for the encumbrance averse.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the blue waterweb stickpin in your hand, and you learn something about it...
This is a small item, under a pound. In your best estimation, it's worth about 29,100,000 silvers.
As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the blue waterweb stickpin in your hand...
The stickpin resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 4 to Influence.
It provides a bonus of 8 to Mental Lore - Manipulation Ranks.
This enhancive item may not be used by the following professions: Warrior Rogue Wizard Cleric Empath Sorcerer Ranger Paladin Savant
The stickpin looks to have almost innumerable charges remaining.
You sense that the blue waterweb stickpin will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.

For those keeping track
My cleric won one of the cleric profession items.
Heres the info on it:
a gold firefly saewehna stickpin
Show: Streaked with ebon, grey, and niveous, the cabochon of firefly saewehna is predominantly warm gold in hue. The ever-changing kaleidoscopic surface of the jewel throbs and swirls like a slowly rotating tempest, and veins of bronze highlight the intensity of each individual color. A delicate cage of alum gentle cradles the jewel and provides it with a sturdy backing fitted with a slender pin.
+4 aura stat
+8 spiritual lore- religion ranks
non crumbly
Im sure itll be a pain to recharge to say the least, but should last a long long time before it'll need that anyway.

Yeah, not the best stat choice, but guess it was chosen due to being related to spirit.
Could have done better with Wisdom or Intuition.
I'm just blown away they used ranks over bonus. I would imagine ranks gonna jack up that recharge rate something sick.

Ranks make it very expensive to recharge. Pinworn even more so. It's effectively not rechargable, unless you want to dump more bounty points or coins into charging it than a Heroism knowledge item. But "almost innumerable" charges is over 100, which should last at least a couple of years if you remove it when not in use.
I prefer ranks for skills like lores, where you just want to hit a certain threshold. But for skills like hiding, where you are at least 2x for life, making an item ranks is just a way of making it prohibitively expensive to recharge.

Anybody set up a chatroom for the festival?
Ryvicke
08-18-2010, 01:27 PM
AUR for a cleric just makes no sense. After 40 clerical ranks the most spirit you'll ever need to raise someone with even 12 spirit would be 4 or 5 spirit points and anyone that knows what they're doing gives themselves a decent AUR stat because it counts for both formulas.
Not to mention it's the main factor in Elemental CS and clerics are supposed to be the only 100% pure spiritual caster in the game. I have no clue why they'd do that.
Religion I can understand although I think it's the least desirable of the three.

There's a raffle for every profession, seems like they're all enhancive pinworn items.
Seen two so far (cleric and bard) and each was +4 to a stat, +8 ranks of something the class uses.
I'll just throw +4 dex, +8 ambush ranks as my guess for rogue.

True. Have they shown the actual sash and lockpicks that are currently being raffled?
Current set: a yellow and orange silk sash with a pale blue invar lockpick capped with an igneous pebble, a vivid yellow vultite lockpick etched with stylized flames, and a bright orange kelyn lockpick capped with a fire opal enclosed.
Last night's: a claw-stitched crimson silk sash with a jet black veniom lockpick carved in the shape of a claw, a crimson laje lockpick capped with an obsidian sphere, and a ghostly-white vaalin lockpick traced with swirls of blood-red nestled inside.

I am really confused by the empath enchancive being Transference Ranks and wisdom.
I think it would have been more in line with the other enhancives to be Influence/Intuition +4 and Transformation +8 ranks.
I dont even think Transference does anything.
Maybe something is going to be released that makes sense of this.

I agree about the transference ranks. My hubby won the extra spin at the empath raffle last night. He assisted and the GM on duty checked with the creator who said that it was correct as is. Have to wait and see if anything comes of it.
The creator should know this. She created a Transference item before for a shop and then had to change it when she was told that Transference Lore does not help empaths (or ANYONE right now I don't think--the minor mental list will use it in ONE spell, Blink (1215), but that doesn't help empaths). It was pretty annoying to buy a 300k item to find out that it does nothing.
Ryvicke
08-19-2010, 08:52 AM
Perhaps if one of the empath winners posted a respectful whine on the officials the creator would see. Pull back just shy of SYLVANCODE levels of outrage at your item and augment it with a latent offhanded lesbian comment a la THROGG. That should do it.

Good for her, but if someone is totally clueless about the game mechanics, they should not be creating items whose primary purpose is to enhance specific professions mechanically...
And yeah, every time I see a THROGG post, I chuckle. She is as dumb as a box of rocks.

I wish I could've seen the pulled post email from that one. I imagine it was just like "we removed this post due to.. ummm... total wtf'ness." It was also interesting how she said "I'd go over there but I'm on the East Coast and my funding is low" or something like that. It sounded like this was just a little Colorado f2f bootie call!

Was having a discussion over the various bolt AS's of pures, comparing cleric/sorcerer/empath/wizard, and I made the claim that the sorc had the lowest bolt AS, self-spelled, the cleric was the second lowest. She brought in societies, and I said that wasn't relevant b/c everyone can join any society. Her counter claim was that a voln cleric had less bolt AS than a CoL sorc....

I had trouble finding the cart in room 13 with the fist scythe, does anyone know where it went?
What instance are you in? It's right out in the open in prime.
[Eastern Harbor, Cormorant Lane]
Strong, acrid scents rise from the surf as it crashes against a low stone wall that separates the southern edge of the street from the waters of the harbor. Sandwiched between two buildings, a small alley provides quick access to the north, while a sandy pathway leads to the beaches in the east. Wild ducks, their sporadic quacking filling the air, swim in the cool waters and occassionally beg for treats. You also see a long-haired pure white panther, a round celestial blue pavilion, an iron-banded driftwood cart with some stuff on it and a golden canvas tent.
Obvious paths: northeast, west
>look on cart
On the driftwood cart you see a barbed iron fist-scythe, a long-shafted vultite harpoon, a thick-bladed steel dirk, a large glaes knee-breaker, a wave-etched steel bastard sword, a hooked driftwood staff and a dark ruic siege crossbow.
>look in cart
In the driftwood cart you see a water-damaged linen fastener, a driftwood carrack emblem, a length of salt-encrusted leather, a rusty steel clasp, a jagged shark tooth, a dull iron hook, a flat mithril buckle, a smooth driftwood toggle, a salt-stained canvas bag, a torn sailcloth loot pouch, a ripped cloth money sack, a tattered sailcloth rucksack, a water-stained cotton satchel and a rum-stained canvas haversack.

Yay Rawgur! Wasn't sure if scripts could even be put on my shield. I opted for the second set of scripts...
>cover shield
You duck down behind your tower shield, trying to make yourself as small a target as possible.
>peer shield
You lower your tower shield, bring it close to your body and peer out over the edge of it.
>push shield
You push your tower shield out in front of you, using it to keep the rest of the world at bay.
>raise shield
You raise your tower shield overhead, shielding your eyes from the elements momentarily.
>touch shield
You carefully trace the rim of your tower shield, feeling for flaws or imperfections.

My recollection is that in the past it's been 16 silvers per bounty point, so if it's 200k bounty points to charge, it will be 3.2 million silvers. Feel free to correct me if I've got the numbers wrong.

Real spendy but some would have the silver to burn and it may be easier than trying to accumulate bounty points to do it.

I agree with you there. My basic plan is to never recharge my non-crumbly ones with PP's unless they run out. I'll just charge them at Christmas time at 16 silvers per point and hoard my PP's for later. I don't have any really expensive items to charge, but it does add up.

A sales clerk steps over to you and says, "Ah, a fine choice sir. The steel bastard sword sells for 150000 silvers. You can BUY the steel bastard sword if you like."
