I was in an Islamic art class I took on a whim at college and I heard the "adhaan" which is the call to prayer. It put peace in my heart for the first time in my life. While I was learning about the Qur'an I used to play the adhaan and pray to the best of my ability..

I took a year to make sure it was the right decision. I had never met a Muslim until the day I converted. The next summer I met my wife and a year after that we were engaged, 1 year after that married.
