Done.

btw, you have a few typos on the survey (the one that sticks out, 'cause somehow my answer didn't stick so I had to look at it twice, is about if I were looking for a job, "I would remove information that would affect my personally" or some such... should be me, not my).

Good luck with the project, and hopefully all us computer geeks don't skew your results.

It also says Michigan State right in the survey.

Although I find a lot of the later questions moot if you already knew about privacy settings.

"After reading this article will you check out your privacy settings"

Well.. Gee, I already knew about them.'

The neither buttons was a friends of mine.

^ This. I wish I had gone with the other article now, because so many of my answers were the "wrong" ones. I never update my Facebook, it exists only so that I can look at friends' pictures on their pages. There's no information up there for me to remove (job search or otherwise). I know what the security settings are, and they're exactly where I want them to be.

Untrue! Part of the study is seeing if people respond differently after reading one of the stimuli. So whatever answer's you put is exactly what I want. And I really do appreciate the help.

It was interesting but I hope most people know that stuff by now... I hope! I did it yesterday. I remember someone posting they were leaving on vacation as a status update... and they got robbed while gone.

So one of my answers of things I don't put on there is when I am or am not home.

Oo thats the shits.

My motto is I'd only add or accept friend requests "If I saw them in town and I'd make it a point to say hi and talk to them for a bit to catch up."

Other than that I don't add people and my profile is blocked.

I'm the same way, even without knowing of someone getting robbed while being out! First, I have a variety of contacts through FB, and I know that some of them don't care that I've gone out to dinner for the night...or even that I'm on vacation. Second, it is possible for someone to figure out no one's home if I post that kind of information, which puts my house in jeopardy. (I have some friends that use programs like FourSquare, and I've started blocking those posts. I really don't give a damn if you've just checked in at the zoo or such-and-such restaurant.)

And I just checked my own FB feed. A family friend mentioned that someone or another (her son? it's a friend of the husband's family) is having surgery...and someone posted in the "Comments" to give a call if she needed anything, and then posted her whole phone number! I'm still in shock, actually: does this person know just who the original poster has as "friends" on FB??

I've replied to comments like that they they should delete the comment and send the phone number as a private message. People just don't think on there.

Update: 2 people in total have texted me and quickly forgotten that I exist. No calls. No harassment. Haven't had my identity stolen or my home burgled.

So what was that about not putting phone numbers on the internet??

Far more people troll FB than PC. Also, it still may not happen to you. That doesn't mean other people should. But let's be honest... it's really young teen and pre-teen girls that should not post their personal contact info on there.

There are just to many Nachos Pedo Bears out there, that are FOR REAL.

For rlz.
