They work on Grimswarm trolls, but not the orcs or giants. On the trolls though, they're really nice. I have the short sword version and the flares hit hard. Sometimes it "feels" like it's weighted though I don't think it is.

Consider them GM's with training wheels. They are most likely working under supervision and getting approval on questionables.

Feature concealing cloaks being "high end" they are probably on the deny all list right now unless you're someone who doesn't have to ask permission. (And just food for thought, these are only going to go up in value.)

yeah, I figured that was explained by the entire 'trollslayer' part;p. The interesting thing about the flares is the reason they 'charge' is because they are apparently set to flare VERY frequently without the charging mechanic. Or so the GM that was looking at the weapon said. I never felt that it was weighted, but I was ambushing with it and they died pretty damn quick anyway.

I do. I'll probably never get close to what I paid for it, and I'm rather fond of it, so in the exceptionally rare case where I come back in a few years, it's probably the one item I'd like to hold onto.
