If there are any left, invokes are probably still going for 10m each.

Thanks, I should clarify: looking for a single invoke.

Willing to overpay and/or take on Emeka Okafor's bad contract as necessary...

What're you trying to embed? Chances are it's already been done and it'd be easier to buy that way.

Trying to imbed 1612. I'm sure there must be a few rechargeables out there, but I've never seen any for sale...

There's a 1612 spell knowledge runestaff out there.

You might be able to work out a deal with the owner to imbed something with it and you recharge the staff with bounty points.

That would probably be a lot cheaper.

I could be wrong, but I believe the staff's owner (Missoni?) has been inactive for some time now...

Buy 208 scrolls, infuse them, and make a paladin on your other account. I do this with my paladin from time to time. Kinda fun cause I get the full +25 CS from all my blessing lore.

The +1 CS boost comes from Paladin spell ranks.. not blessing lore.

Then it comes from all my MIU and AS ranks...or whatever.

Even with 230+ ranks of AS, that still requires peeling off ~all outside spells just to pass the steal difficulty check...

I dismembered/diseased/cursed/nightmared the first Ithzir Seer who dispelled my 3+ hrs of 1612... and never tried the 208-route again.

Well, thanks for pointing that out WRoss, I didn't even know I could do that. Also, it's just the basic +15 to CS, no addtional so you must be remembering wrong.

Ruineye, my cleric didn't have much difficulty stealing 1612 still wearing some outside spells. Is it not a cleric or empath your trying to steal the spell with? I think it is much harder to steal stuff if you don't know the 208 spell.

Now I'm curious. Post some logs and the skills of both chars?

Either you're wrong in the CS boost you get, or the 208 is stealing the full bonus from the paladin prepping... which doesn't make much sense at all. You technically shouldn't be able to get more than +15.

You realize that you're not going to be any more successful against dispel with a mage rechargable? Sure you can recast the spell from your item, but the more you use the item, the more it'll need recharging, the more chance it'll green. And then your 10m+ is down the drain.

Well, with a rechargeable I'd only use 1 cast at a time (whereas the nature of 208 requires stockpiling 4 hrs upfront), so the expected loss from a single dispel is considerably less. But, yes, greening is still a risk...
