So you will all soon come to know Whoreable as the new shit stirrer. Starting with this topic. I'm all for good roleplay and understand that elves in EN probably wont be to nice to other races. I would have absolutely no problem with this fact in Ta'illistim or Zul Lugoth. However, those jackass squire's and other stupid elves in Ta'Vaalor forget one very simple fact. Years ago there wasnt EN. A lot of people such as myself have played GS since it was free on aol and werent familiar with this town when they came back to the game. Luckily for me when i came back elves in Ta'vaalor weren't as big of douschbags. I have a half elf who grew up there when i first came back and he was Johnny frickin hero of the town. Everyone there loved him. However, i recently rolled up another character who was spit out in vaalor and now its filled with a bunch of tools. People who are just returning to the game or trying it for the first time are likely to hate it when as soon as they are spit out into the world everyone treats them like a jerk. YOU ARE KILLING THE GAME. If you want to roleplay a jackass so bad, please take your shit to Ta'illistim so you don't discourage new or returning players.

PvP is frowned upon, but CvC is not. As long as you have a true IC reason, you're mostly alright. I say mostly because there are people that like to "role-play" being smart mouthed, but will cry to the GM's if you try to engage them in combat.

I did just treat them back like a jackass and moved away from the town, problem easily solved for me. I'm guessing from your ignorant ass response that you are one of these stupid elves. The whole point in this post is that this form of roleplay in a town where the majority of people are spit out into these days may not be aware of such things. Hence the problem in treating them like shit. If NEW players or even returning players who never got much into the history of elanthia come back to the game and the first thing they see is a bunch of people acting like assholes they may not continue to play. I am all for roleplaying as i said to start this post. If i wasnt i would go play WoW with cartman, kyle, stan, kenny and other immature idiots so we could walk around with Mr. T faces and shit. Problem is i like a game where i can escape to another world where people arent walking around saying "LOL" out loud. There are few enough people playing gemstone these days thanks to other games like WoW and the fact that GS has been split up into 3 different worlds of prime, platinum, and now unfortunately shattered. (PS i'm gonna piss on all you shattered folk here shortly) Like i said, the easy solution for people who want to RP this type of character in this town and not scare away players from the game is to simply go to Ta'illistim and do it. Either that or Simu should quit berthing other races into the elven nations which doesnt make a whole lot of sense anyway. Your solution to the problem, as you see it, was for the players to take their characters to Illistim or Zul Logoth. THAT does not make sense for people who are roleplaying part of the legion of Vaalor.

I think WRoss (I think it was his suggestion) had the right idea. Have new players start in Illistim. People are asses there too, but not everyone.

I started Rebbons with the goal of basically spitting in the face of Vaalorian elves while I was there. The characters are developed interestingly, if not annoying and condescending at times (This fits their character though, so get over it) but it's all interesting. The trick is to not take any of this crap to heart and/or leave.

Vaalor has always been a place for elitists to pick on noobs. When I played I made it a mission to spell up the lower level people to the teeth. There's some real tool bags in that town. I rarely went out hunting or anything. Just sat in TSC and when my script bleeped, I'd start spelling everyone up. I was an elf, and for fun I'd talk shit about elves (was my RP angle). All those people that begged for spells suddenly turned in to douches, then a day later beg me for spells again. Best part was stalking them into hunting grounds and getting them to swing at me first, then destroying them. But I'm a nice person, so I always gated them back and got them rezzed and healed. They learn their lesson pretty quick.

Slaps on the wrists. I say I'm trying to feed the poor and down-trodden. One GM threatened a lockout, so I went on my wizard, and invis bombed TC. Since there's no text when you drop something while invis, I just dropped a couple hundred food items with a script and people flipped out. A good time was had by all. Well... by me.

Edit: I should have said some of the Legionnaires. Mainly Vilorcasdra, Hanshayr, Nirhvanah and that whole group. There are some cool Legionnaires, but I'll leave their names out to prevent hazing from the other douchebags.

Considering I was a finance manager in charge of a 7.5 million dollar portfolio at the age of 23 and now own my own business that has tripled in size in the last 3 and a half years I'm pretty sure I can teach a lot of people a thing or two. I'm not saying that everyone needs help, just the majority of america.

Oh, and my house will be paid off by the time I'm 30 and I will be retired if I want before I'm 40. Still don't think you need to hear what I have to say? Don't worry, I'll be happy to prove my knowledge in the thread but it's not gonna be a short one so don't rush me.
