I used to have my laptop and it's second monitor all setup w/ panorama backgrounds to my desktop (so it spanned 4 monitors), but it was really hard to find images. Now I just grab NASA images and only do my desktop:

There's this place in Boston (Somerville actually, but close enough) called Red Bones, that has a 12 dollar lunch special where they pile your plate with like a pound of barbecued meat. You have no idea what mix of tasty, barbecued animal you are consuming but it's god damn delicious. We're gonna have lunch there on Friday!

Ads are pretty easy to remove from the default AIM client, in one of the earlier versions (I forget the one) I just swapped out the viewpoint.exe to a blank exe, and then put a host file for the ad server, pointed it to my own server and served my own "ads". On the latest version I just keep the AIM window slid down off the desktop and I can't see the ads.

All the multi-protocol apps I've used in the past have never been able to keep up w/ the feature set, be it video chat or conference chat or whatever. I just gave up on being the cool kid w/ the special chat program that had to be like "oh shit, sorry you can't send me that photo because it's not supported in this app". If you know one that can do Skype, GChat, and AIM (voice, file and video), I'll happily swap them out (I use MS Communicator too, but I'm not integrating that with anything else)
