You can also set up monitoring of your scripts somewhat with a dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com) account.

There's a few ways you could do it, like running this utility (win only) http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?page=3&id=13805&replies=23#post-129188

which periodically takes screenshots and saves them in a dropbox folder. then you could log in through the web interface or the dropbox app on your phone and check what's going on with the script.
