a bunch of assholes decided they wanted to kill people in gemstone. a bunch of other assholes figured out that the pvp was fun so they wanted to kill people too.

If you really want to know, take time and read all the relevant threads. You'll definitely know the details of the saga, at least from when the Marlu gang started. At first though, Mordechai was a happy lil player killer in rats--and claimed his kills were for Marlu. The flamboyant Flamer was steadily killing people too, for no other reason than the fun of it all--the two joined forces... others liked em, and from there, the gang was born.
People got sick of it. Vanguard was spawned by Necen (Enough of this Nonsense thread explains).
And now... what was a pretty intense saga is morphing... into... who knows! Ah, the fun of Elanthia, in all her forms!

Thousands of years ago, before the dawn of shattered as we knew it... there was sir Marlu of Lornon: an under-endowed creature making crude and pointless attempts at mass extortion using a lance made out of shadows and his own waste, hurling it at ape-like creatures with hairy palms regardless of how they behaved. This so-called blackmail was seen as an unsavory act and defecated upon... It wasn't a holly jolly shattered instance that week; for many were killed!

The galaxy is in a state of civil war. Spies for the Rebel Alliance have stolen plans to the Galactic Empire's Death Star: a space station capable of annihilating an entire planet. Rebel leader Princess Leia is in possession of the plans, but her ship is captured by Imperial forces under the command of the evil lord Darth Vader. Before she is captured, Leia hides the plans in the memory of a droid named R2-D2, along with a holographic recording. The small droid escapes to the surface of the desert planet Tatooine with fellow droid C-3PO.
