So like two months, right?
Oh, and Dez Bryant has agreed to terms. Hope everyone enjoys the offensive explosion in Dallas this year.

Just read Dez Bryant signed. I'm shocked he was the first first rounder to do so. Good for him. He's an awesome late round pickup in fantasy.
Colts win it all this year. The Colts and the..............................Packers in the SB.

We doing a money FF league with the PC this year or just a bragging rights league? I'm in.
Now that the Saints have already won it all...I'm not sure who will go this year.

Yeah. Went to high school with him. Still talk to him from time to time. I'm going to see him (play) on the 28th in a preseason game.

He's a big dude. What is he, 6'7? I remember when he came out of college he was being hyped as a top 5 TE coming out.
Nevermind he's 6'3

He's the one that made that sick catch for a TD in the superbowl. His second TD in the NFL.

The last three years I've had future bets on AZ to win it all. Came close against Pitt a couple years ago (don't get me started). Would like to see them continue to do well, but not sure Leinart is capable?

In a perfect world it would be the Bucs and Bills.

Colts don't win AFC South.
Cowboys don't win NFC East.
NFC West champs are no better than 9-7.
St. Louis still sucks.
Falcons make it back into the playoffs after missing last year.
J.P. Losman makes at least one start of Seattle's 11 losses this year.
Any team the Jags play on the West Coast you can mail in for a loss.
As of right now it's Packers/Patriots to the Superbowl.

The Cowboys blow ass, Tony Romo almost cried in the preseason. That guy makes me want to punch him in the gonads.
I loved the MNF commercial last night which was like "only 3 mondays left!"
As of right now it's Packers/Patriots to the Superbowl.
Is there any basis for that? I feel like both the packers and the patriots had mediocre help now improvements in the off season and both were early eliminations last year. IMO if the Jets re-sign Revis theres every reason to believe the patriots wont even win the division never mind the super bowl.

Ha!

Dude has a 95.37 QB rating over the past three seasons - I did a few checks around with other superstars and couldn't find anyone higher. Romo is an elite quarterback and his stats show it.
As soon as the pieces are in place, dude's gonna bring in the Lombardi.
The keys for Dallas this year are going to be Doug Free playing to potential, Jason Garrett remembering that you can run the ball, and the WR core pushing each other to overachieve.

It's a passing league.
The Jets shouldn't have even made the playoffs last year, and got beat by teams they had no business losing to. If Farve remained in NY, I "might" be more inclined to give the Jets a little more hype, but he's not, Sanchize can't read the field leaving 8 and sometimes 9 in the box to stop the run game. Leon Washington > LT "at this age" and they let him go...
The Packers and Patriots have the personnel and tools at this point in the preseason to take over.
AFC East:
Patriots 11-5
Fins 8-8 ( miss wildcard )
Jets 7-9
Bills suck. ( Sorry E )
NFC North:
Vikings 12-4
Packers 11-5 ( wild card )
Bears 7-9
Lions 6-10

I do alright on the books. Besides posting on a forum board for a text-based game, my next favorite hobby is picking/betting on NFL games. ( I don't "do" college )
I figure one of these days when I have some scratch left over I'd get a bit more serious into it, but it's a fun thing for me, do not desire to SoTT my hobby and burn it from stress of gambling.

Tony Homo may have the stats, but he and the Cowboys still suck. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl, that tells you how much stats matter.
And the Bills are definitely winning the Super Bowl. You heard it here first.

Sounds similar to the sentiment up here in Philly when looking at the Redskins roster. McNabb had a much better offensive line in Philly for most of his career.

Yeah, I don't really believe it, but I hope it, every year. We'll definitely be bottom of the AFC East, probably in the running for the #1 draft pick.
Fuck McNabb.
I sort of feel this way. The whole leaving the Eagles and moving inter-conference thing was just weird. But I still think the Redskins got hoodwinked in that deal, and I stamped McNabb with six starts amongst conversation with friends a week or so back... looks like the fucker is already one step ahead of me.
Did you see the story where he cries about Philly and won't admit he chucked his guts during the Superbowl?

All those Cowboy fans should be worried, where is your offense? True it is only the preseaon..... but even teams like the Raiders are putting up points. Are they waiting for the season to start?

Preseason doesn't mean shit.
The Colts are something like 4-21 in preseason games since 2005 in preseason, while remaining one of the league's most successful franchises.
The Lions were undefeated in the preseason the year they went 0-16, and the 16-0 Patriots didn't win a single game before the 'real thing.'
You're seeing the most vanilla, bland sides of teams and everyone's playing with a hope of keeping their body in tact.
While I'm a huge Cowboys homer, which is what provoked this response, I wouldn't encourage anyone, even a sorry ass Redskins fan, to get too excited or depressed over their team's preseason performance.

Preseason should go away, and the league should not expand to 18 games.
If they do go to 18, are we going to see the first two games filled with players trying to make the team? Roster size will have to be increased I would think, thus more base salary to be paid.
As to my remark about the Cowboys, Im sure they will do better than last season, and preseason means nothing, Im throwing darts at my buddy (Cowboy fan) meant not to piss anyone off,.. will see if Romo can take his team farther into the playofffs........ Its almost time kickoffs just around the corner..... two weeks Thursday Vikes @ Saints..... any predictions?

You are relatively new to the PC, so you've not seen it, but we do picks on every week of the NFL season. Latrinsorm is our scorekeeper, and you are required to openly post your picks by the kickoff of the first game. You should see week 1 pop up soon.

I'm wearing my #5 Brennan jersey every game. Fuck McNabb.
I predict a Colt Brennan-led Superbowl Victory for the Raiders!
Damn straight.
Then again, this is reality, so I'll default to a Superbowl title for the Colts instead, since Austin Collie is going to have a better season than Wes Welker, Pierre Garcon will have a better season than Terrell Owens, all while Reggie Wayne has a better season than Andre Johnson.
They may aswell just trade every running back they have for two more solid linemen and go pure spread as it is. I'm sure Collie wouldn't mind playing scatback for a cute little wrinkle now and then.
The Vikings will fall apart as they generally do. Brad Childress will get the axe. The Cardinals will stun at 9-7 and earn a wildcard while Leinart gets the Pro Bowl snub. Joe Flacco will be the best quarterback in the league, yet the Ravens will still fail to make the playoffs after a mid-season injury to Ray Rice rips their heart out, and McGahee forgets he's still on the team.
The Patriots will fail to run sideline-to-sideline on defense after numerous hoverround malfunctions, leaving every team with an even borderline speed back rushing for three hundred yards per game. The Jets will simultaneously get fat, putting on 'empathy weight' for the team's collective pregnancy that is Braylon Edwards' contract. The Bengals will be loud and obnoxious, and completely irrelevant.
The Steelers will blow, and Big Ben will lose the entire town of Pittsburgh by season's end. The Chiefs will be better than anyone suspected as Brodie Croyle takes over for an injured Matt Cassel two or three weeks in (or even better than I expect should Cassel stay on his feet at least five snaps to every drive). The Dolphins will win the division behind an emerging Davone Bess, who will likely be in the top 5 fantasy WRs next season, all while Ricky Williams tries to 'find the dreadlocks' once more and return to Pro Bowl form despite the team's reliance on Ronnie Brown's broken down corpse.
The Seahawks will wish they still had Seneca Wallace. The Browns will wish they didn't have Seneca Wallace. The 49'ers will start Nate Davis after Alex Smith chucks four picks in two games in a very Cleveland-esque 'caving to fans' desires' display. The Bucs will let Josh Freeman prove that he's ten times the quarterback Nate Davis will ever be, as the cannon-armed giant takes them back to the promised land (8-8 and missing the wildcard by three games).
The Broncos will wish they had Ryan Torian. The Redskins won't know what to do with Ryan Torian. Though, then again, the Redskins won't know what to do with Portis, Johnson, or Willie Parker. The Chargers will still wish they had a legitimate offense of any kind, as their complete lack of chemistry continues to doom them. The Giants will shrug as Eli Manning collapses yet again, and the entire town plays more and more into a Chicago Cubs mindset.
The Bears will wish they didn't spend $22 on Jay Cutler. The Lions will be startlingly good behind the best running back tandem in the league. The Packers will fall off after everyone realizes you don't need to cover Donald Driver anymore, and Finley gets busted for weed by week 3. The Rams will continue to be bland, but now the fanbase will begin to get pissed off as they will field one of the single most competant defensive squads the league has ever seen for such a bad, bad team.
annnnnnd the Saints. Yes. The Saints. Madden Curse. Peace out.
