Rupee gets it's own symbol

A very significant world event has occurred and not much attention seems to be paid to it. There will be a day when you can tell your children or grandchildren that you can remember when the rupee did not have a symbol. That no keyboard in the world had the symbol on it. That no computer had it.

Symbols are the core of human communication starting with cave drawings all the way up to today with the new rupee symbol. From this day forward forever and ever this symbol will now denote the rupee. No other symbol will and it will never not represent the rupee.
