Thanks for the help regarding spell training in my previous thread.

I've looked at quite a few paladin training plans here on the boards. I had been contemplating trying to work in MoC training (at the cost of reduced CM training) into my plan, but opted to cut MoC out. Curious what other THW paladins have done. I can either go 1.5x CM or 1x CM and 1x MoC.

If you decide to do MoC, you definitely shouldn't actually train in it one rank at a time. Allocate points or keep it in mind, but you really only get any benefit out of it at certain threshold ranks (potentially every 5 ranks). Personally, i trained to 5 ranks, then 30, 55, 90, 135... Because I'm primarily concerned with focused mstrikes. But I didn't keep dumping points in from level 43 to 65.. I just did a rough calculation and planned my training so I could forgo a few things around lvl 66 to dump enough points in and get it to 135.

edit: just wanted to note that I'm not a Paladin, so no one starts thinking I have some crazy training plan that allows this.

Get 5 ranks early for the unfocused double hit. After that, I wouldn't worry about getting ranks until you're done getting other skills (climb/swim/MIU/AS/etc).

Thanks for the tips here. I'm getting to a point with my paladin that I may grab a few ranks of this - few more levels before I have all spell, climb, and swim requirements completed.

Curious - anyone beefed up in MoC and used it in combination with 1630? I can see casting 1630, do some damage/stun, force them to kneel, and then MSTRIKE all targets.

Yep. Level 63, with 60 ranks of MoC. Though, I normally focus mstrike one of the two/three targets after using 1630... depending on where I'm hunting, of course.

The only thing I really used it for when I had it {more of it} was a focused MSTRIKE, and the occasions on which I used it were very narrow. I typically only used it to kill a grimswarm giant/troll warchief, but that really isn't an issue anymore either.

I find doing unfocused MSTRIKES wastes time and leaves me in RT too long. 12 secs of RT were I may or may not kill something could've been 4 dead creatures with open ambushing.

It is pretty fun if you hunt in groups though, which eliminates some of the risk and wasted movement.
