I know we've got a few months until this movie comes out, but I see the trailer in pretty much every movie I go to see and each time it gives me a girl boner. Anyone else excited??

I saw the trailer when I saw Inception. I am positive Alan and the Big Lebowski are reprising their roles. I deliriously commiserated with someone I went with until they informed me that they had never seen Tron, at which point they were dead to me. DEAD. Their hard drive. DEAD. Their USB back up. DEAD.

I am terrified, petrified that this will turn out to be a Rollerball 2000. I am desperately hoping that it will be more of a... I don't know. AWESOME. It goddamn well better be.

Ohhhhh wow. I didn't know there was a thread on this...

This preview has been destroying me for months (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P78pl1FUXfA&feature=player_embedded) (I think this may have already been linked). After the first 45 seconds of whateverwhatever garbage the insane basso kicks straight into your chest and girls sit in chairs looking aloof while the small lights on their future-shirts add a posh geometry to some incredibly framed shots. Yes, it gives me a girl-boner.

ANYHOW, the big news I just found out today is that Daft Punk is doing the entire soundtrack (this is probably old news) and they just made a website (http://www.tronsoundtrack.com/) for it. Now my girl-boner is in like Cialis disclaimer mode.

I've only seen the trailer that shows him going to the Arcade, etc and they just flash part of the bike scene.

This seems more like an actual clip of the film.

I rewatched Tron today--it was so sweet. I bet in 1982 it blew minds. It had been a looooooong time since I watched so I forgot about how fun the whole "programs" and "users" narrative setup was.

Anywho, there is also a soundtrack "sampler" floating around the tarwebs with about half an hour of daft punk's score on it. I have downloaded it and will create a pretty torrent for anyone that desires.

Having grown up with admiration of Disney's groundbreaking original 1982 film "TRON," Daft Punk took on the scoring of the next chapter of the story with extraordinary thought and precision. The duo assembled a symphony of one hundred world class musicians in London and recorded the orchestra at AIR Lyndhurst Studios, Britain's premier scoring facility.

Caught it last week--really good on the eyes and there's no denying a movie featuring young asshole Jeff Bridges vs. old gandalfy Jeff Bridges. Daft Punk/Hans Zimmer score gets pretty fucking awesome at times as well.

All of the young people in the movie should've been replaced by more Jeff Bridgeses. Not a great story, doesn't reach epic status. But well worth seeing in monster IMAX 3D.

If you like movies with a plot. Don't go see it.

If you like anything to make even a lick of sense. Don't go see it.

If you require your young actors to be able to act. Don't go see it.

If Jeff Bridges is the man. Go see it.

If you can be solely entertained for two hours with flashy eye-candy and a knock-out soundtrack. Go see it.

And I defy anyone to tell me the movie does not totally jump the shark when it introduces the character of Castor. A WTF performance indeed.

Tron: Legacy. I loved it. I thought the father/son deal was contrived and the young Flynn was a bad actor, but I was surprised by how much action was in it. The score was outstanding and Bridges was great.

127 hours. Franco pulled it off as an actor, but I think this should have been a "I survived :Special edition, not a feature.

Black Swan : Excellent, made me uncomfortable at times. Portman is excellent. Mila Kunis kind of played an older version of her 70's show character.

True Grit : Excited.

The Fighter: Throwing it out there. Looks like a big oscar grab.

Just got back from Tron. Good but not spectacular.

I remember seeing the first on the in the theater with my dad many many moons ago. Went with him to see this one. Was a nice little holiday family event.

Cowboy's and Aliens: Looks to be good clean fun.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Love this series. Can't wait for the next installment.

Err..Spoilers, I guess.

Just saw this movie for the first time after finally catching the original a few days ago. Plot was actually worse than the first one, which is saying something, but I really enjoyed the music (duh), FX, costuming, and general setting and "feel". Did anyone else expect a bit more out of the whole, "That one bad guy is TRON" storyline that went all Vader-y, then fell flat? Perhaps a short clip after the credits or something?

Still worth a watch, for sure, especially if you're looking for a movie to show off your new TV/Sound system.
