Edit - There will, naturally, be many posts by the Shattered Victims Association. Bare in mind I am a bad guy. As for disconnects - I absolutely disconnect when certain conditions are met - chief among them that I am AFK. The three posts below detail active fights where both parties were at the keyboard - and in fact all of them hunting ME, and not vice versa.

In AOL days connections were so bad that as soon as it was lost removing you from the game made sense (or as soon as Simu realized it, I know ghosting did indeed happen). The amount of legitimate unintentionally disconnects was high enough to warrant instantly removing your character from the game.
Now connections are generally good enough that it's rather rare for someone to just lose their connection where it's not their fault. I think implementing a /camp type of mechanic, where your character idles for 10-20 seconds before being removed from the game would make sense. As it is right now they already have the 'enraged' mechanic, so if you do accidently disconnect it's not like you're all that better off (in most cases I'd rather let a normal monster beat at me for 10 seconds than come back to an enraged monster), they should never have implemented that and instead implemented the /camp mechanic.

I agree. I wouldn't mind being left in the game for at least 10 seconds - especially with shattered up now.

Edit - There will, naturally, be many posts by the Shattered Victims Association. Bare in mind I am a bad guy. As for disconnects - I absolutely disconnect when certain conditions are met - chief among them that I am AFK. The three posts below detail active fights where both parties were at the keyboard - and in fact all of them hunting ME, and not vice versa.

Thanks for clarifying this. I have not picked up on the fact that you're a bad guy yet. I also am just coming to the realization how awesome your playing tactics are. I am incredibly impressed at how few people have killed you while you're at the computer. I become increasingly more impressed with every post. I'm reading posts by the most amazing GS tactician that there ever has been. You are winning Gemstone. The scariest part is you haven't even reached your full potential.
I have only heard of one character (or rather set of characters) that have had more potential. Sadly, the player left before they reached that level.
