View Full Version : my lich wont click open anymore?

wtf did I break...ruby? i was running lich in the morning. woke up to the net dropping like normal went to click my lich shortcut i've been using for the last 4 weeks and it wont open..restarted..wont open..went into the folder manually..wont open.. do I need to go reinstall a bunch of shit now?

Open a Windows command prompt, change to the directory with lich.rbw in it, and type:

rubyw.exe lich.rbw

and tell me if any error messages come up in the command prompt. If not, try

ruby.exe lich.rbw

Nevermind. I found the problem. To manually update, download www.lichproject.org/updater/lich-4.1.48.rb and rename it to lich.rbw and copy it over the top of your current lich.rbw.

Do I just click the link, copy all the text and then save as lich.rbw?

I don't program. Period. I can barely write a passable script. So I need it majorly dumbed down for me.

Click on the link, download the file, right click on it once downloaded, and hit the rename button. Then right click, and use the move button to move it into your life file. Overwrite the old one. Unless i'm wrong on that.

When I click on it it opens all the text. It doesn't anything to "download".

That's not good. I get the option to download the file. I've had that problem before. Try using Internet explorer if you're using a different browser.

Omg. I fucking got it. In a totally fucked up, round-about way. But its working.

You should have SEEN me last night trying to tell my non-GS playing husband WHY it was so important that I fix this while we're on vacation sitting at home doing NOTHING for a week.
