I found this cross of mine which I wore everyday for almost 5 years until I lost it a coupla months ago, in the pocket of these pants I never wear today. It was a happy moment.
Got it on a retreat called Kairos, in high school. Wore it constantly. Just finding it again was enough to uplift the soul.

This is what it looks like, except mine is brass, and all scuffed up, and hung on brown rope instead of a gold chain. Heh:

w00t, thats great that you found it! I'd cry if I lost my cross, I wear it during the day and sleep with it under my pillow at night (dont ask why, I'm some kind of weirdo I guess.) when I feel sad or scared I tend to clutch it and it kinda makes me feel safer. :)

That's pretty TheE -- what do all the little crosses represent around the main one?

Dude, our Kairos cross is wood. :( Who'da thought that Buffalo would shell out more bucks than Fairfield County. Although ours does have gold-colored stripes down the middle on one side.

Mine is brass, it's not this gold concoction, Latrin.
It's called a Jerusalem Cross, SHM. I don't know the theology behind it, but I always theorized it's supposed to represent the infinite reach of God, since I always imagined the crosses-on-the-corner extending throughout all the crosses.

I could have sworn I saw that on HBO...
I think it was on "Pimps Up, Hoes Down"...

I don't know about that, I think wood is much more elegant than brass, even though it probably isn't as durable.
