I don't even know what I can add to this.
Assuming it's true its simply amazing.
It sounds like something from The Enquirer but it is being reported by Reuters.

Holy crap...
That takes some set of brass ones to take a kitchen knife and gut yourself like that.
But that is refreshing to read--a mother who'd go to such extents to save her baby..in a world of women who drown their children, bash their children's skulls and wrap them up in garbage bags and throw them in a dumpster.
Not only does that take guts (no pun intended), but it is pretty amazing. Im glad both her and the baby survived... The thought of carving into my own flesh--makes me grit my teeth. :wow:

Eep. While I admire her courage, she is damned fortunate not to have killed herself AND the child! :O
HarmNone is amazed

My mom always rocks.
Well, she didn't swim across a river, but she fought off a band of ninjas with huge knifes when she was 8 months pregnant with me. Then, when they were dead, she stole all their clothes and tailored them all into baby clothes.
...So I wore a lot of black as a baby. Yeeeah, that's the ticket!
