Saw this on slashdot. Its free, so long as you have the Fallout2 CD....

Basically Fallout2 multiplayer with player make-able shit, bases, more towns, factions etc etc.

Going to try it when I get home.

This is sort of unrelated but do you know anywhere that I can buy the Mothership Theta expansion CD for the 360?

When it was out; and I was out, of money, it was going for usual prices (can't get Live. Don't know anyone who has the FO3:MT expansion disk.)

I've been looking wherever I can think of and the prices are ~$50. I refuse to fucking pay that when I saw it going for $12.99 on EBGames. I might be a day late, but I'm not a dollar short -- But there is no way I will ever pay four times the cost of an expansion pack. I'm a die-hard Fallout fan, but I'm just not paying fifty bucks. For. That.

Also ... New Vegas (http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/home/e3_trailer_2010.php?country=us), baby.

Edited: ^ Click "Click to Watch New Trailer" (pretty self-explanatory, but man, this is going to be so very, very deliciously sweet. Oh yes.)

Been playing this game. It's pretty much the fucking bomb. All you need is the critter.dat and the master.dat from the cd or ahem, a download. You dont even need to install Fallout2.

The game is brutal though. Roving faction members looking to kill your fucking ass with no regard to life.

You can control towns to get resources. Craft guns, craft drugs. Sell em. So much to do.

Oh, and cars! You get pussy like whoa if you have a car.

Is there a definitive site that explains all I need to know about this project? I'm finding littler or scattered info.

Where can I "ahem" dl those files you posted? My fallout2 cd is in TN at the moment.

This sounds pretty sick. I'll have to check it out once I actually wake up (and I'll *cough* plant a seed for it) Sounds like what Huxley was supposed to be.

Once I get it up and running I'm down to sticking together. Sounds like UO back in the early pk days.

And I can't fucking wait to start playing.

You can get the master and critter.dat files from any F2 torrent.. or I could just send those files to you, I dont think they're too terribly big.

As for factions, I'm in one, and its pretty good. We have plenty of bases all around the world map. When I get back to the hotel I can send you the IRC channel and the Mumble/Teamspeak server address. Our faction leader is an Aussie who for some unknown reasons will only speak like Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's spot on and fucking hilarious.
