So up until now I have recieved a bag of valuable items or whatever every time I finish a dungeon. Just now we killed the satyr guy in Mara-purple crystals and WHOA FUCK NO BAG DROPPED. I am level 47. Not sure what relevance that carries. Everyone else recieved a bag at lvl 41,42, 45ish.
Yeah. ??

Were your bags full? Even if not, check your mail. I've received them after the fact on occasion.

Were you dropped in purple or were you dropped in orange and the party leader took you the wrong way?
Also yeah bags being full = goodies in the mailbox.
^^ What Anticor said. About twice a week I get stone shards or emblems in my mailbox from the random dungeon finder screwing up rewards.

No and no. I hate orange crystals and dont even check that box anymore because I've had the terrible luck of only getting failtanks that cant aggro the sludge off of me.
And the containers were empty.
I tried the bug forum. We'll see whats up I guess.
My only other idea is I have abandoned previously said failgroups in the past. Does this prevent me from getting a reward EVER AGAIN?! (dun dun dun)
Edited to add: Everyone else recieved their items after we dropped Viletongue.

No abandoning doesn't exlcude you from loot moving forward, however your dkp will be docked... I'm thinking a 50 minus.
I wouldn't sweat it.
No I abandon groups all the time on my shaman and still get the rewards. Actually if your leveling and the tank is pulling so slow that your getting less experience than questing I feel like its my duty to abandon the group.

Ok. I'll try again today. We'll see what happens.

Today someone told me if you abandon a failboat your queuing priority is lowered (i.e. you get "punished" the next time or times? you queue up). Anyone else heard this?
Sort of true but mostly wrong. The dungeon finder records how much you abandon and kick people now and if your a decent person it lets you kick failboats with more freedom. For instance if you are a normal person and load into a heroic and see the tank has 10k hps and is in dps greens now you can kick him before the 15 minute mark if you have a "good" kicking/abandoning history. If you dont you cant initiate the vote. Theres no penalty to queueing up ever unless they left it out of the patch notes.
I think this is a pretty forgiving ratio btw. Like if you complete 10 dungeons and abandon 1 I dont think that would make you a problematic player.

Are you just using the random dungeon selector or are you just checking the boxes for every dungeon?

The random finder, the one that gives bags of loot, doesn't have checkboxes. The checkboxes are for specific dungeons. If you're using them you can avoid the icky orange crystals, but you get no lootz.

^^ That.
When you get to upper city BRD too make sure you don't kill the princess before the emperor. I've been leveling my little alliance druid through lfd for the most part I found that killing the princess first seems to glitch getting the helpful satchel of goods out(har, I haven't seen anything not sp gear in 12 levels..so much for helpful tank gear).

That explains some things. I think I was understanding the one with check boxes as preferencial settings and the random dungeon window as the confirmation box. So this could very likely be my own stupid error. I'm going to run another tonight and not even touch the check boxes...see what happens. :)

Look at the checkboxes long enough to make sure that none of them are checked, just to make sure it doesn't screw you up. Then go back to the random page.

The difference is, we like her, so when she makes noob mistakes, we don't mock her endlessly. It probably has something to do with the fact that when she does something wrong she doesn't A) declare everyone else to, in fact, be wrong, not her, B) continue to act in the same way.

Play like this?
Yeah we don't have to have the gear. But it makes things SO much easier. And since g++ isn't around atm, I am soloing as a mage newbie at lvl 29... Some gear would be nice. Hell, if I just had several nice high lvl buff spells it'd make a hell of a lot of difference. I get buffs randomly from people now and then, but I may start begging for spells soon. :P I just really hate having to try and take on one mob at a time. It is rare that I can take on two and survive, and three means death everytime.
And.. what are the biggest bags you can get that aren't specific to a profession? I see frostweave bags alot, are there better ones? And whats the biggest bag that does not attune? Best I have seen is like 14 I think.
Seriously.. stop.
